Ms. Days Ease RV Life #75

Good Morning it’s Sunday, January 5, 2020. Yesterday was big brother Jon’s birthday. Happy Birthday Jonny! I think he is 74 now. Each year is a blessing and I’m really appreciative of that and so I’m embarking upon this new journey. So after 20 years, this is how I hope my journey looks!

B & C’s Journey for 20 Years!

I’ve been collecting stickers and have these:

Stickers

The first one on the right was on the fridge when I bought Daisy. It says “To the Mountains I must go!” which I think was very prophetic as that is where I am now! The next one is my sticker from Carolyn’s RV Life who inspired me to go on this journey in the first place. The one next to that is the one from Saguaro National Park – the park where you find the Saguaro Cactus! And finally, the 4th one is from Kartchner Caverns State Park. Since seeing the display that B & C have, I’ve decided to start saving patches instead. First of all I can keep them for a display of some sort as time goes on and when I sell Daisy, I won’t need to eliminate the stickers and lose the memories. So I’ll need to go back to Kartchner and Saguaro and get patches instead. That will be easy – will do that when my Jeep gets here in a couple of weeks.

I’m traveling to Naples tomorrow and I’m excited to be going back. I was looking at my pictures yesterday and realize that my place in Naples is really great. I realized that I didn’t have a page on my website devoted to Daisy so I added that yesterday. These are the pictures I put on that page.

Anyway, I know the next owner of my place will be happy there – I sure was.

So this happened yesterday:

Together on the Couch

So the girls are doing really well in Daisy. Wylie sleeps on the “Thankful” pillow at night on the couch and Metaxa sleeps upstairs with me on the bed. During the day they find their places and seem to be adjusting pretty well.

So I have now discovered “Pandora” Radio on my iPad and I’m listening to “Homeward Bound” by Simon and Garfunkel. It is on the 60’s Folk Radio Station. They also have John Denver Radio and Josh Groban Radio. I listen to all of them and my iPad connects to the blue tooth speaker that Lily gave me. This is the speaker:

Blu Tooth Speaker – Gift by Lily

I never used it before when I got it from Lily and it just sat on my desk. I guess it was meant for this part of my journey and I’m so glad I have it now. It is a great way to listen to music – especially on Sunday mornings when the CAVV plays sermons from churches around the area. UGH!

I just got a survey from Kartchner and the email lists all of the State Parks in Arizona – so there are 31 State Parks in Arizona – divided by North, East, South & West. So I guess that could be my first project to get a patch from all 31 Parks. Many of them I’ll go camping in Daisy in them. So that is my 2020 Resolution. We’ll see how that goes. Time to go. I’ll be back later perhaps but if not, thank you for visiting!

My kitty sitter was by today to go through the feeding routine. I guess it will be fine – she loves cats so that is a plus. I’m just not sure about how the heater is going to work. We can’t keep it on all day because it will heat the place up too much. But it will need to be put on at night all night. She did say she would stop by twice a day and originally she wanted to come in the morning and then in the afternoon. I just can’t figure out the best schedule. I think she needs to come in the late afternoon so the heater is on all night. I know it will be FINE!

So today the weather is great. It is actually 70 degrees outside at 2:30PM! That is the warmest it’s been since I’ve been in Arizona! And I actually did this:

Picnic by the Rig

I ate my lunch outside at the picnic table in the sun for the first time ever! And I had the screen door open. SO this is something I’ve been waiting for. I could even put out the awning if I wanted to and the camp chairs. It will have to wait until I get back from Naples!
