Hello Everyone!

So today is Thursday.  It is a busy day for me.  We have a monthly meeting at work that I have to take the minutes for and fortunately, Lily (my boss) gives an agenda with most of the information on it so I only need to “clean it up” a bit.  It is our “quality assurance” meeting.  We talk about falls and med errors and other statistics that need to be entered into the “Business Plan” each month that Lily provides to upper management.  And so it goes in the world of Healthcare!  I also have my monthly GRAPEVINE meeting at 6PM.  I’ll probably go to The Cookie meeting after that.  I should try to get to as many of those meetings as possible.  I am a member of that group now, so I should support their efforts.  Anyway, I’ll take Roy over to the meeting after our meeting so I’ll already be there.  It will be early for that meeting, but I can help “set up” then.

The Holiday Season has officially come to my house.  Last year a nice young man came by my door and sold me a wreath to support the NHS Band Boosters.  So this year I got a call from him asking if I would do it again this year.  I said “sure”.  So yesterday his mom stopped by and brought me…

Let the Holiday Season Begin!

So next week, I’ll put up my Christmas lights and we’ll be all set for Christmas.  I hang the lights over my garage door.  I have a really cool Pink Flamingo that has lights on it that never work each year.  So I take it back to the place I bought it – next to Publix on the trail across from Coastland Mall.  They mess around with it and fix it for me.  So I’ll be doing that again this year.  I love the Pink Flamingo.  Then I have some tin containers that I put lights in and they go on my little front porch.  So that’s about it.  I don’t put a Christmas Tree (fake one) up any more because the cats have too much time on their hands and destroy it plus eat a little of it so I can’t trust them with stuff like that around the house.  But that’s about it for my Christmas stuff.  Oh yea, I have two fake wreaths that I hang over the lights at my garage.  A lot of my neighbors do the same thing.  I have to climb up into the attic over the garage to get the stuff down.  That is always a challenge.

I stopped by the 24 Hour Club yesterday and looked around.  It was around 4:00 PM.  No one was around.  So I was thinking if there was an opportunity for Intergroup to move up there, it would be cool because there would be “people” around non stop from 6AM in the morning with their early meetings.  It would be good to have people there between 1PM and 5:30 when EDI starts.  When people are “new” sometimes they need to be able to be around other drunks and need a place to go.  Having worked in the IG office in the morning and afternoon shift I know there are times when there isn’t much action.  With this possibility, I bet the business could increase.  So it will be fun to see what happens.  I know what ever they decide it will be the right choice – you got to have FAITH.
