Good Morning! It’s Saturday, January 25, 2020. It’s 7AM out here and just an hour until the President’s Team begins their defense of President Trump. I saw a snippet last night that President Trump is saying that it’s all a bunch of lies. Of course he would say that – he’s fighting for his political life. Well, time will tell. I thought that Adam Schiff was pretty brilliant in his presentations and so was Hakeem and Jason. Everyone was pretty good, but the men I must say were the best. I didn’t think I was going to care about this, but it’s turned out that it is really interesting. The American People have a right to know the truth. But the thing is, if he’s done it before, he’ll do it again. He feels he’s above the law – at least that is what I’ve come away with through this process. I really hope they vote for more documents and witnesses. Nevermind the fact that he is a narcissist and bully. Even though it would be a sad day in our history to have him thrown out of office, we’ll persevere and get “to the other side”. That’s it from me about that as Forrest Gump would say.
So yesterday I took a hike – yes, there is a trail right from this park out into the desert:
Today I am going to pay for another month here. I need to put my 313 number in for the available lot. I’m sure I won’t be in the running this time but I thought I would go through the process. I’ll keep watching it each week now. I think I’ll try to go camping next week. I may just drive over to Picacho State Park. It’s only about an hour away from here and I can take off in the Jeep to check it out.
So this morning my little radio would not play the radio station I’ve been listening to. It just doesn’t tune in well enough, but guess what…..ALEXA will play it so I’m using ALEXA instead! Pretty Cool! I wonder if she can multitask. I’ll see if I can add something to my shopping list and then see if the radio still plays afterward.
So yesterday I went on a short hike:

I sent these pictures as “small”, so the pictures are tiny, so I won’t be doing that again. Here is another picture from yesterday:

Love this handle to open the gate! I also found this stone:

Off to the Impeachment. I’ll be back. So I watched the 2 hours of the President’s Team. They were very good also. One thing they pointed out was that the prosecution showed things which were correct but didn’t show everything. So I guess that could be considered lying by omission. So their arguments were good and short. Only 2 hours today which will be meaningful for those that support the President. So I guess my deal is that I don’t like the man and as much as his supporters support him no matter what, I don’t no matter what. But I’m only one vote. I’ll continue to watch because I can and it is really history in the making. Unfortunately, I think this Impeachment won’t succeed in getting him out of office. It’s sad that it has come to this. Day off tomorrow with start again on Monday at 1PM (11AM here) in Washington.
So back to my life: I did this today:
I got Wylie into the harness and then put her in the playpen. I tried to get Metaxa in the harness and she really resisted, so until she wears the harness, she won’t get to be outside.
I paid for another month here this morning. I think I’ll plan to drive over to Picacho tomorrow. That would be an adventure for tomorrow. I’m thinking about going to the music tonight although it starts at 7 and I’m not sure I’ll do that. Plus my neighbor Chuck invited me over to his porch for “happy hour” which starts at 3PM. Not sure I’ll be doing that either. Another thing I want to do is drive over to Tombstone to get a patch along with going to Saguaro State Park for another patch.
Time to go out for a walk. Thanks for visiting today – sorry about the “rant” and I hope I have it out of my system now.

Your trail walk sure showed what the desert looks like. All that sand and then this group of trailers. Wild blue yonder for sure. One of my batteries in our golf cart exploded last evening. Scared the s–t out of me. all the neighbors came out to see what was going on. Sounded like a bomb. Very scary.
