Hello World!
So this morning I’m starting late with the blog because I had to get ready for work early. Â I’m expecting a guy here momentarily to fix my garage door spring so I can use my garage. Â Poor little Rose has been in the driveway since Wednesday and I’d rather have her in the garage. Â She is dirty and needs a bath, but I didn’t give her a wash because I figured she’d get dirty sitting out. Â Anyway, I thought it was nice of the guy to say he would be here at 6:30 so I can get to work on time. Â I hope that works out to be true.
Yesterday we had our Thanksgiving “Pot Luck” at church. Â It was really great. Â There was ham and turkey and mashed potatoes and lots of desserts and 3 types of stuffing. Â I love stuffing – all kinds! Â My mom’s recipe was a “corn bread” stuffing. Â I always loved it. Â I think I have the recipe somewhere around here. Â Of course I never make it because I never cook a whole turkey. Â Maybe one day I’ll get motivated to do a Thanksgiving Dinner and invite friends over. Â Not this year though. Â I think I’ll go over to the 24 Hour Club so I can listen to the speaker and feast of their food and see where the office will be moving. Â I have a feeling I’ll be spending time there going forward. Â Afterall, my work is just around the corner and I should take advantage of going to meetings there.
OK, so now it is 6:30 and my garage door man is not here yet. Â I think I may be delayed getting to work.
I took the time to go back to The Greenway yesterday. Â Here is my newest picture.
This time when I got to the end of the boardwalk where I could go right to Jungle Larry’s or left to somewhere else, I chose left. Â It was a longer walk. Â It went to a paved pathway and then later on there was another board walk. Â It ended up at the airport with a gate that wouldn’t let you go any further. Â So eventually there will be a longer path. Â I’m looking forward to that. Â Yesterday it took me 53 minutes to so the whole thing. Â Once you get going, you have to go to the end or else turn around early. Â I chose to go to the end. Â Here is my work out:
Next time I do it, I’ll wear my tennis shoes. Â My feet were tired because I wore my sandels. Â It was a little too long of a walk for that, plus it was dusty and dirty. Â So I learned a lesson. Â Plus if I wear my tennis shoes, I will probably finish faster. Â It’s going to be a great walk when the weather is cooler. Â It was a little hot yesterday. Â I did see some water birds yesterday so the wildlife will begin taking over soon I would guess. Â It’s still a little naked. Â But I see some great potential there and it’s going to be a great bike ride, once it is completed.
Paul  just arrived.  I may get to work on time afterall.  He had the wrong address!  Ugh!
So I’m going to sign off now. Â I hope you all have a wonderful “short” week this week for those of us who are still working! Â You retired ones – just have another great week!

Just remember…before you attempt to cook, be sure to remove the plastic wrap from the oven racks. 🙂 (This is from your brother, Bill.)

Who’s cooking? Not me! I haven’t used my oven in my new place since I moved in here in March of 2013. My microwave is making loud sounds though, like it want’s to retire.

HAHAHA!!! Your brother’s comment (above) is priceless!
I KNOW another “bikeable” boardwalk will be a favorite place for us old Peeps. I DO fear biking on the streets here..for ANYONE
REALLY INTERESTING–your “exercise app” SO much information, and tracking, it must be really a MOTIVATING factor in your quest for looong-time health. MY motivating force is the mirror–should look into it more often! I did this morning and it scared me, I said out loud, “Who IS that?”
ANOTHER thing for which to be GRATEFUL–a garage door opener that works. HAPPY day, Mary, and….
