Good Morning Everyone! It is March 12, 2020. Today’s blog is dedicated to WYLIE! She crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. I knew she was dying since she had lost so much weight so quickly. The vet discovered a mass in her belly. But as Suzan pointed out yesterday, wasn’t it great she got a chance to travel to and from Arizona in Daisy. She was quite the traveler! She just sat on her little pillow while I drove and eventually she would come and sit in my lap while I drove. I doubt I’ll see Metaxa do that for a while – if ever!

So I am grateful that Wylie has been part of my life for the last 15 years. She was an affectionate, beautiful Calico. She had difficulty getting along with other cats – she just “tolerated” them! She kept her distance from them but was sweet and purrrrrrrrred so sweetly. I loved the tiny white spot at the end of her tail. She was a “creature” of habit and I’ll miss (mostly) her bugging me to eat. As an aside, just before we put her down, she ate a can and a half of cat food at the vet. So she had energy for the trip across the rainbow bridge! Love and miss you WYLIE, Wylie!
So now it’s just me and………
Metaxa is my buddy and loves to sleep in the bunk with me which makes me very happy, although sometimes she’s a HOG! Plus she is probably the most stubborn kitty I’ve ever had. So I’ve learned to just let it go and let her be who she is and it makes me laugh when she gets so immovable!
SO RIP WYLIE – we love and miss you!
Now onto other things today. Last night Bill Strenkert invited me over to dinner for Lobster Ravioli. It was delicious and so much fun being with he and the “girls” – Sheila, the love of his life, Katy – Sheila’s sister from DC and Karen, her cousin. It’s quite a group and it was a nice diversion for me after taking Wylie to the vet. Thank you Bill for all of your support and love!
Today I turn in the $90K car to Enterprise! I’m surprised they offer that expensive of a car to people to rent! Anyway, it’s been a pleasure to drive it, but I’ll be glad to get it back to the place safely!
Today I plan to clean up the garage and put the “stuff” back into Daisy. I hope I can get it all in there – it’s going to be a challenge I’m sure. Now that I have a “place” eventually to get to in Arizona, I’ve changed some of my thinking about what I’m putting in Daisy. Originally when I got here, I thought I’d put more stuff in Daisy because my other stuff was going to storage and I didn’t know when I would get it again. But now that the house has come into the picture, I can just move the miscellaneous items out with the furniture. That is GOOD!
So I went to Publix today and this happened:
Well I can’t get the picture to upload – tried 3 times to edit it, but it is a picture of all the TP shelves in Publix EMPTY! It’s like a Hurricane is coming and all the water is gone. I’m tired of the hype about the Coronovirus but we can’t get away from it. I even told Polly that I didn’t want to go to the Meeting tonight because I didn’t want to run the risk of getting sick before I take off next week. I think that may be extreme, but I think it is best. Who knows!
Now I’m going to close for now and go back to the garage to put stuff away in Daisy. Thanks for visiting today – especially Kate if you figure out how to make a comment.

Looks like it’s all “coming together”. I’m glad you will be buying a stick and mortar home. I think it’s more normal to have a home without wheels, some kind of permanence. Daisy will be your get a way home. Take it wherever your mood takes you. Can you park Daisy on your new home property? It could be your guest house for visitors .Perfect..
