Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors! Today is Saturday, April 11, 2020. It’s a beautiful morning here in Benson. It’s 45 degrees this morning and 66 in Daisy. The heater is still on this morning. It is supposed to rain today at some point today. I’ve decided I’m going to ride my bike to the house and leave it there under the carport. I want to protect the battery from the rain and I think it will be fine under the awning. We’ll see. Once I move in, I may take the battery out of it while keeping it outside. But I really want it to be ready to ride without having to put the battery in and out each time.
Yesterday, Bill came down to my rig to help me with my BLUE OX towing package. We set it up and I didn’t take any pictures of it, so I’m going to try it on my own again today except for the brake controller. It seems that the 12 volt receptacle that was installed in the JEEP isn’t working with Daisy. It worked with Bill’s Truck Camper because it is a newer truck and is was connected to the truck. A motorhome is different apparently. So now I need to find someone to fix that on Daisy.
So I discovered this yesterday:
The metal holder broke on the trip here and the nut cover is lost. The metal tube is how the inner tire gets air. All of these metal pieces are “stressed” and should be replaced. I went to Del’s which is a tire place right off Exit 303 going into Benson. Bill suggested I go there. They were very nice. They can fix it and then also figure out what is going on with the tire which is losing air. Let’s see if you can see the low tire in this picture:
This tire was pumped up before I drove out to Arizona in Naples.  There is still a problem with it. Bill has a compressor that we can use to pump it up here where Daisy is set up so I can drive it to the tire place. I’m a little concerned about the place as it is pretty jammed up with vehicles. I’ll need to scope it out again on my way to the store one day. I’m not really too concerned about it because I won’t be going anywhere in Daisy for a while since my furniture is on the way out here!
They called me yesterday and said the guy, Jason, had picked up my stuff and is on the way. He should be here Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning! Doesn’t take him 10 days to get out here like it took me! WOW – that is FAST! We’ll see how it goes, but I’m excited that it will happen Monday or Tuesday! Â
I got my first package delivered to my house yesterday! It is the shower curtain rod. Waiting for my shower curtain for the guest bath from Wayfair. Â

When does it warm up in Benson? We’re still in the high 80’s here. Waiting for some rain. Looking forward to Easter dinner with Martha and family. I’m making my famous Chateau potatoes.
