Hello World,
Thanks so much for visiting today. I wanted to start with a picture that was sent to me by my former neighbor, Andy:
So what is the plural of “Moose”?
I went to my friend Amber’s “Open House” at Sage Events last night. Let me see if I can get a picture of that.
Got it from FB on her page. Anyway, Amber is the most “ambitious” woman I know. She started out as a Bartender at Chef’s Garden many years ago. She worked her way up to manager and then when she had her baby (without benefit of husband) she became our bookkeeper so she could bring her baby to work. We had a little office somewhere – if I remember it was in the Collier Park of Commerce off of Airport Road where we used to house our “Catering Kitchen” with Cuisine Management. Anyway, eventually that went by way of all good people working for CMI – off to other pursuits and finally CMI went away also. So Amber wanted to do her own thing and she went to school to become a “personal chef”. She had always worked 2 or 3 jobs including working selling granite and other things for a few years – ran the office there and still worked “catering” mostly with Fred Gardner and “Matthews and Gardner”. So now she has created her own niche. She does “Beach Weddings” with her company “Sand Dollar Weddings” and now SAGE Catering. She took over a foreclosed building and reworked a space. Now there is a carpet place and a decorating shop next door to her and around back is a car restoration business. When I drove out last night I drove around the building and what do I see…. a little RED VW Bug on blocks being restored. One of the old models like the one I had in High School. It was a convertible! So the place is off of Livingston on Enterprise Avenue. I still have that “catering” bug in me “a little bit”. I can’t cook but I wouldn’t mind doing something else with her. She shared with me that she now has “60” days which she said she is doing for “Mike”. I met him last night and I think I’ve seen him “in the rooms”. She got in a little trouble a few years back and called me about the program. Kept on “partying” for a while I could see – on FB mostly, but now I think she may be heading in the right direction. I sure hope so, I wish her the best! She looks fantastic: Here she is:
Tonight is the Christmas Party for Moorings Park. It’s gonna be at The Registry/Waldorf Astoria/Naples Grand. I wasn’t going to go, but I decided I would. I offered to “work the door” so I need to be there at 6:30. It starts at 7:00. I’ll be interested in seeing everyone. Now that I know there are 736 partners and they can all bring 1 adult guest, that could be a “monster” of a party. I’ll probably wear this: (with slacks though):
No dog.
Out of time again. Will see you soon. Thanks for visiting and have a www day!

Ya know Mary, I’ve lived here 50 years. Yet I learn more about Naples’ “THEN and NOW” from reading your daily blogs. And here is found all the latest (up-to-date) news about our Program, it’s people–present, “past”, and “future”–well…here AND aanaples.org — “Where was I” during those first ten years in Naples? Full of water/ethanol mix (Vodka)
SO, for these fine blog postings, thank you.

So maybe you would like to be our Grapevine Secretary temporarily until Sherri figures out what she can or can not do for us. I’d hate to lose her from the committee. Think about it. Take care!

Great. First meeting Tuesday, December 16th at 5:30 PM at the 24 Hour Club. If you want to send out the reminder, that would be great. If not I’ll do it. If I don’t see it come from you, I’ll do it on Sunday or Monday!
