Ms. Days Ease RV Life #139 5/6/20

Good Morning Fellow World Travelers!   Today is Wednesday, May 6, 2020.  I am up early so I can go to the 8AM meeting on ZOOM.  It was again a great meeting.  It was announced today that NAC has no time frame on opening again.  That is good for me so I can still attend a meeting with familiar faces.  Jeff said he was going to continue ZOOM meetings even when the Club is open again which will be great!

I was thinking today about getting an additional table for my den so I have more space to “spread out”.  I love this desk I’m using and I’m so glad that it is finally being used rather than just sitting in the corner of my bedroom as it was in Naples.  It has lots of little storage areas – drawers and cubbie holes etc, but space for “projects” is lacking.  I was going to go try to get a small table to put beside the desk but then remembered this:

So this is a leaf of the table and it works out great as an additional space.  Just saved a little money and time.  It will work just fine!

I started looking at some recipes on YouTube and found a really easy one for using the Instant Pot and cooking Chicken.  I’m going to TRY it – yes I know – watch out!  So let me see if I can do it and I’ll be back later to report on how it went.  So come back!

Cooked the chicken – it turned out great!  Gonna have it tonight for dinner.  The Instant Pot worked great!!  Here is a picture:

Delicious & really easy!  3lbs of chicken (I used about 1lb),  1 can of coconut milk & 1 TBLS of Turmaric.  Took 35 minutes in the Instant Pot – I used frozen chicken breasts!

So Today is now Thursday, May 7th and I’m continuing with this blog because I didn’t have much to say yesterday and because I got up this morning thinking it was FRIDAY and it’s only Thursday!  Ugh!  But last night we had a FULL MOON!

My phone doesn’t take the clearest pictures, but I think you get the point. It was really beautiful.

I got my BOSE sound bar yesterday to put on my TV – that is the project for today. I’ll take some pictures of the reveal! It’s complicated! Need help setting it up – the remote that is. I got the BLU Tooth to work so I can play music on it. That is a good feeling. But a universal remote is a whole other beast.

On my walk this morning to the TRASH – found a few things to take pictures of:

This is in my neighbor Barb & Bob’s yard.  It reminds me of sea oats with a beautiful flower in it.  It will be interesting to see how long the pink flowers last and what they look like when they die.

I also found the prettiest rose bush with so many blooms on it:

So this proves that Roses can flourish here in the desert.  My plant hasn’t resurrected yet, but I haven’t given up on it quite yet.  The jury is still out as to whether it is dead or not.

So I found another plant at WALMART the other day and planted it in my “planter”.  I hope it survives:

It is some type of succulent so hopefully it can take the brutal sun out here.  Time will tell!
