Good Morning all you gentle people,
So today is Tuesday. I’m telling you that, because some of you who are retired, may not realize what day it is because everyday is the same! But I know it’s Tuesday, only because I check my phone for that!
Today we are having a “pot luck” at work. I’m getting “pulled pork” delivered by Amber today around Noon. I thought I’d give her a “try” to see what she can do, since she is doing this “catering” thing full time now. I bought a cheese and fruit tray from Publix and will add some “cheese squares” to it since I said I’d bring a “cheese” tray. I’m bring Iced Tea also. Lily, (my boss and organizer of this thing) is supposed to be off today, so I’m feeling a little responsible to get this thing organized. Not that it is something I want to do, but I’ve got myself all worked up over it so I guess I’ll see how it plays out. Should be interesting. I’m bringing my “boom box” to play Christmas carols. I looked for my CD’s yesterday and couldn’t find them anywhere in my house. I have my cassettes (old ones) but can’t find the CD’s. Fortunately, the one CD I have with Christmas songs on it is in the CD player – see how God works these things? Anyway, you can see how often I play CD’s since I’ve been in this house over a year and a half and I’m just discovering I don’t have my CD’s. I wonder where they are? “Lost in the move” I bet. Along with my pepper grinder!
So here is the first picture of the day:
Bill and Cathy had this picture of me. I don’t remember it, but it is the first “selfie” of me that I know of, next to maybe a “baby” picture which may be around. I’m going to send it to Aunt Pat along with other pictures from this visit with Bill and Cathy.
Next picture of the day:
You know I’ve been saying that I probably should have been Jewish as I was “feeling guilty” about not helping with the move last Saturday because I had to get my “hair done”. But when I look at this “crew”, it was in “Good Hands” and lots of them! I saw where Roy said they were “Open for Business” now so things are moving along. I have my “Grapevine” meeting at the 24 Hour Club today at 5:30 so I think I’ll go to the Club right after work to see if they are “still open”. Since I’ll have time to “kill” I’ll bring my Kindle and read a little – need to get into that “Wheat Belly” thing. Sure would be nice to lose a pound or two.
So I got my “Christmas” presents for my team at Orchid Terrace. I said I wasn’t going to do the Christmas Card for everyone, but I want to give something to the leadership team there so I bought this:
I bought one for every one (5 people, Lily, Millie, Patti, & Becky (and me). Plus a couple of other things. Now I’ll just need to “package” them up some how.
Well time is up today. Got to get rolling. Need to get packed up and off to work. Have a beautiful day!

You write “all you gentle people” which tells me you DO have readers who just don’t comment–which is not a bad thing.
But I can comment at least this–what a BEAUTIFUL girl attended Marietta College around 1970. You do not look as old as that makes you (1970 college) but it is because you have not AGED! My sponsor said it OK to get old, so long as ya don’t “age”…and, like most of his witticisms, I’m still trying to figure that one out!
I see that when Mary brings food to a pot-luck…it is lucky-for-the-pot. Mine (pot or “wheat-belly”–grin!) seems to grow, no matter HOW many HERSHEY BARS I eat.
How fortunate? you cannot find CD’s…mine are EVERYWHERE, strewn about, so I can find all but the one I’m looking for.
Also I felt guilty about not helping out Saturday in the IG move. But looking back, what good is an 81-year old guy in a “moving” situation? After 80, there’s only one kind of “moving” which matters. (sigh) and (laugh)…
Gotta go and help out my dentist pay for his Mercedes and new pool, and six children growing into college age…oh my!
Have good day, spread your happy enthusiasm everywhere, Mary!

Thanks Steve and thanks for being at the GV meeting tonight. I’m gonna see if I can figure out the Google Analytics on this site. I know I have the “plug in”.
