Good Morning Warriors! Things seem to be opening up a little. I heard on the news that all 50 States have begun to open up in some capacity. I think it’s going to be a long road for many people. I’m still going to wear my mask when I go shopping.
Today I take Daisy to get her tire monitor installed. I’ll be leaving around 9AM to do that. This monitor is supposed to tell me how much pressure is in each of the 6 tires.
I have been attending a “virtual” RV Rally on the computer. It is very interesting. There are 2 sessions 3 times during the day. I get to attend 1 session during the various time slots. It’s a lot of sitting in front of the computer but I am learning a lot. After it is over, we will have access to all of the sessions by going to a place called “teachable” and all of the sessions will be saved there for a year, so the ones I didn’t attend, I can see them and also review the ones I attended. They had some technical issues and the sessions started late and the links needed to change at the last minute. I can’t tell how many people are signed up for it, but it seemed that they only started thinking about doing this when the FMCA Rally was cancelled in Tucson in March due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. If they planned it further in advance, they could have had more people attend I believe. The first session (opening panel and welcome session) only had 14 people there in our group. The session on FMCA only had 5 people there and most of them already were members of the association (Family Motorcoach Association). There are 145K members of this association. I did join the association for $75 a year ($10 discount). There are many benefits to being a member of this associations. Mostly it’s the FMCAssist. This is a system that if you have a medical emergency while on the road, they will cover the cost of ambulance or helicopter rides if necessary. Rich’s wife had a stroke in Yellowstone 3 years ago and it covered her emergency evacuation. They will also assist in getting your rig home if that is necessary. That in itself is worth the price of the membership for someone like me who is “solo” on the road. There are also discounts on tires – very important since there are 6 very expensive tires on this rig and if I need to replace one tire, I’ll probably need to replace all 6.
So yesterday, I took a little video of my new porch project:
This screening has cooled the porch down significantly! I am impressed by the job they are doing and I’m really happy with their work. It is pretty time consuming for the two guys – Bubba and Dennis.
Gonna take Daisy shortly. I’ll be back perhaps, but if not: Be Calm, Be True, Be Quiet!

Nice porch. Was Bubba christened Bubba or something else? I wish I could give you a few Staghorn Ferns for your porch. What’s green and grows well in AZ? Tire pressure is important. Glad you are having it installed. Will keep you safe. Sheila has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Now I have to talk to Mary Ann and get some help. I’m ok. Fear not. I have a program!
