Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors! Still in a pandemic and people rising up in the streets. 12 days of protests and now they are protesting in Europe to support America – NICE! So it goes. It seems that the damage and looting has decreased. I’m just glad that there isn’t any protests around here. At least none that I know of. It seems to be in bigger cities. So when I travel tomorrow, I’ll need to go through Tucson and Phoenix. But I don’t anticipate any issues along the highway.
My friend Susan is on her way back to Denver in Mariah. Here is a picture of her:
Here is a picture of Mariah:
Mariah is 2 feet longer than Daisy. It will be fun to camp together and I’m looking forward to seeing her in person. Her door is in the middle whereas Daisy’s door is in the back. Here is Daisy – same view.
Here is the inside of Mariah:
Very similar to Daisy inside, although the couch is on the opposite side. Also, she has tiled floors which I want to do eventually.
You can see how nice the tile is. The bathroom looks about the same.
Here is the final picture she sent of the drivers seat:
The dashboard looks the same. There is a built in storage unit between the seats. That looks nice and certainly is handy. I put my little cooler there and I’m forever going in the front seat and going into the rig from there, once I have tied down the bathroom door.
Just heard from Susan. She is on the road. She stayed in a Walmart last night – I’ve never done that! Good for her. She made it to Lincoln, NE and will be home today. Bette suggested that I bring Daisy around and hook up Otis2 today in front of my house. That way in the morning I can just leave without the stress of hooking up and then getting on the road. Daisy is a “boondocker” so she should be good. I think that is a good idea.
My weather is:
And my weather in Cottonwood is:
So it seems cooler in Cottonwood. Looking forward to that!
Now I think I’ll bring Daisy around to the house and get Otis hooked up. I think that is a good plan. I should have enough propane for overnight. I’ve never done that, except for the time we went camping near Parker Lake.
So I know she can do it, I just need to BELIEVE! Here we go!
All ready and patiently waiting for the morning. It’s gonna be hot out there! I think I may try the generator this afternoon to see about the A/C working with that on. Another “test” of Daisy’s capabilities!
Testing out Daisy’s generator and A/C while parked in front of my house:
I guess that is all for today. I’ll blog again when I get set up in Cottonwood. Thanks for visiting. In the meantime: Be Calm, Be True, Be Quiet.
