Hello everyone,
So today is:
I have a running joke at work with a colleague about this. We always mention it to each other on Wednesdays! Funny how you get into certain comfortable routines. I’m one for “comfortable routines”.
So I was looking on Bill and “Caps” blog and came across this fabulous picture of their “RIG”. I’m so excited about going out to the “Swamp” for the night! As I was driving out there last Sunday, I was thinking what a nice ride it would have been on Red. But then keeping it at 60 mph would be difficult for me. I wonder if people would object if I drove at 45?
Notice the very complex dish system. Internet on the go! Bill sets this up everywhere they go and boom…..internet in the RIG. I could do that! Now phone service….that’s another story – not so much!
So today we have our final module for “Best Friends” and everyone is supposed to have their final projects to present. This is going to be “interesting”. We’ve had to reschedule it a couple of times and it’s been a while since our last session. So today will be a little “stressful” as we get rolling on this. But I was thinking about this the last couple of days and was amazed how the “Best Friends” approach works it’s way into your mind and heart. If you know people who are struggling with Alzheimer’s or any dementia, I highly recommend this way of dealing with the disease. It helps you cope with that and also keeps you sane in the process. When I think of this I think of:
Dick tells me that she is happy as a clam now in her place in Litchfield. I’m collecting pictures to send her with a Christmas card soon. It’s great to have Luann and Katherine and “therapy” dog Riley!
Metaxa is making me laugh this morning. Here she is again:
Again she’s playing in the basket and her buddy Domino is:
Keeping me company!
So my friend Roy took this picture of the new entrance to our Intergroup Office.
I originally thought I could use it on the current website at www.aanaples.org in place of the one that is there now, but I think we need to “spiff” it up a little before we do that. So I put the picture up on FB and made a “plea” to have some talented people come up with some ideas of how to make this look a little more “welcoming”. Once you get inside it’s AMAZING how great it looks. They are still not “up and running”. I don’t think their phones work yet and either do the computers which has to be “frustrating” for Bill our office manager. But it will come in time. It’s only been 3 days!
Well, time to get ready for work. Then it will be dinner out with Bill, Cathy, Dick and Doug. Let the fun begin!

It is true, what I’m discovering through reading your blog, Mary. Pictures DO “make” a blog. Images are far more descriptive than words, except for necessary explanatory verbiage.
I love this set of non-integrated photos, cover multiple topics with little actual word content. Certainly your blogs ARE interesting, Mary…I’m addicted to “Wylie…” and frequently receive material for my own writings here. Sooo, this must sound like a “Thank You”. Because it IS, OK? Like the news of your Aunt, and your “Vagabond” family’s home-on-wheels. (I ENVY them!)…Cat photos SELL
“Hump Day” segment inspired my FaceBook post for today! THANKS!.
GOOD thinking, to wait on IG photo on “aanaples”. Outside does look kinda drab. But that will change, more to be revealed?
Blessings and PEACE.

Thanks always for your comments. I told my family all about you yesterday. Were your ears itchy?

Itchy ears? Nope!
But I DID tell a group that joke about the Army major who had no ears. Coincidence? Who knows! (…the Shadow! knows!)
You told your family about…WHAT? ME? Hmmm. Actually, I’m very comfortable with that. In the few years since we met, I have never heard you utter a single bad word about anyone, even those who might have deserved a “bad word”. (A role model, you are, Mary!)
