Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors. We’re still in the thick of things. Arizona and Florida are on the UPTICK. So I’m still wearing my mask:
And I’m only going out where I can go without interaction with others. I get a little antsy at times, but when I get that way, I go out onto my beautiful front porch:
And I meditate with the help of the 10% Happier App or the GAIA App. Both are very helpful. I just love my screened in porch. In the morning I can open my front door wide and not worry about flying insects flying into the house. Metaxa loves sitting in the sun on the doormat that says: “Wipe your Paws”!
This morning I got up and made it to the Morning Reflections Zoom meeting. It was great as always. Such a wonderful way to start my day. After the meeting, it was only 66 degrees outside – YAY – so I took a walk down to the garbage dumpsters – it takes about 10 minutes at the pace I walk. Then I check my mailbox which is just on the way back. I’m glad that I need to walk to the mailboxes or else I wouldn’t walk at all, I’m afraid!
On my walk this morning I walked by this:
I have walked by this post with the orange on it everyday to the trash. I wondered why it was there. I thought maybe they started eating it and forgot that it was there, but now I know why they leave it there – for the birds! Duh! Then I walked by this house:
Finally a neighbor with good sense. Most of the others who make their political choices known have Trump 2020 flags. I’ll have to introduce myself to the Biden supporters! YAY – I’m not alone!
Since I’ve returned from my wonderful 22 day odyssey, I need to put the battery back in my bike so I can hop on it. Last night it was so beautiful late in the afternoon, that I wanted to ride my bike, but instead I just sat on my porch and watched the sun go down. Kind of like being at the beach in Naples watching sunset, There is a lot of smoke in the sky so our sunsets have been beautiful recently. When I got back this happened:
This was a bunch of mail. I got my “surprise package” from the Virtual RV Summit where I won 2 things. The gift basket from Wagonmasters and the sway bar from Henderson’s Line Up. I contacted them by email and I haven’t heard back yet. The gift basket included an insulated bag – just remembered I took a picture of it:
It has an insulated bag that I’m keeping in OTIS2 for shopping. A wind chime that I put out front of my house. A Fire Stick and an Echo Dot that I sent on to Susan because I have both of them and I don’t need another one. And then some Grand Design bracelets and pens. Also there is a “water” detector which I’m keeping and I’m going to install in Daisy down by the water pump so I can tell if there is a leak of some sort. That is a project for a cooler time of year.
I purchased a Pet Monitor for Daisy. It came yesterday and I’m charging it up. I’ll be able to monitor the temperature in Daisy when I’m out and about and have left Metaxa there. I’m going to test it here in the house because right now, Daisy is sitting out in the hot sun and I don’t want to waste the battery inside Daisy since Metaxa is here in the house and will be for a while. No trips planned until October at this point. Here is the monitor charging:
I hope this thing works. It will be important to have when I’m traveling in Daisy with Metaxa. I’ll let you know how it works. Still waiting for it to charge up.
So speaking of going on a trip in Daisy…….yesterday I drove up to Safford, AZ to check out Arcadia Campground.
Bill and Cathy suggested that I check out campgrounds near Mt. Graham which is in the White Mountains in the north eastern part of the state. It was only 90 miles from Benson, so I hopped in OTIS2 and drove out there. I am so glad I did that before taking Daisy there. BECAUSE – there is NO WAY I would drive Daisy on that curvey road up to the camp ground. When I got there this is what it looked like:
The roads to this point were just fine. But the last leg of the trip “up the mountain” were winding and sharp curves and ledges. I wanted to pull off and take a picture, but was too nervous. I’d gotten so far up I wasn’t going to stop until I found the campground. I was grateful that I had my phone to get to the place since I couldn’t get the GPS to locate the campground. But the GPS could get me home from there. Anyway, this is how the campground looked – and it was much cooler – in the 70’s – there:
It was beautiful in the trees. Most of the campers were in tents. I only saw one trailer – a small retro about 15 feet – like Olivi@. I didn’t see any site that would accommodate Daisy. Here is OTIS2 in the parking area:
It really was a beautiful campground with all of the pine trees, but Daisy would have been too big to get around the curves. No way am I putting us in danger of doing that. But it was a nice drive – I’m just glad I didn’t try it with Daisy and instead explored with OTIS2.
I realized that it’s been a week since I blogged! I guess that is what will happen from now on – not a lot happening these days. I’ll be going to the grocery store today. Only going once a week. I kind of feel like I’m living in the back woods. But really, it’s pretty great. I really love it here even though it’s pretty hot.
Oh I have a project that I’m going to get going on next week. It includes Dennis and Bubba so check back next week and I’ll let you know how it goes. Thanks for visiting – it’ will be Fourth of July Weekend next time so celebrate and have fun! In the meantime, Be Calm, Be True, Be Quiet!

Glad to learn you have been out and about. I’ve allowed myself to get in a real funk lately. Too hot to do my favorite gardening activities so I;m stuck in the house with the love of my life who wants to do absolutely nothing but watch shows about ghosts and haunted houses. I’m going nuts. Lots of arguing and unpleasantness. I feel really stuck.so this too will pass. meetings have been really sparsely attended. Office is slow as hell. sorry to unload. Love your screened in porch. glad you have a fellow nontrumpster in your place. Be well.
