Ms. Days Ease RV Life #172 8/12/20

Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors.  Day #133!  Congratulations America – Joe Biden chose Kamala Harris for his Vice Presidential pick!  Now, THAT’s the ticket!  So good.  The Democratic convention begins on Monday so it’s about time for them to get ready for that.  It will be virtual this year which will certainly put a different spin on it.  I’m excited to see how it turns out!  My oh my, aren’t these interesting times!

So yesterday, Susan and I had an adventure around Alamosa.  It’s a quaint little town.  There is “Art in the Street” with statues all along Main Street.   We went to the visitor’s center and checked that out.  We went to Safeway to check for my Bubly.  Of course there wasn’t any Orange Bubly there and we come to find out that there is an aluminum shortage and they aren’t making the Orange Bubly right now.  Hope that is over but it may be an omen of what is to come as our economy begins to fail due to the Coronavirus.  Russia announced a vaccine yesterday but our medical people are skeptical.   So I just thought – Joe Biden will get the credit for our vaccine when he is president.  That will be fun to watch.  But back to Bubly!  I got really lucky though because this Safeway had POLAR Orange Vanilla which is my ultimate FAVORITE anyway and our Safeway in Benson doesn’t carry it.  So I bought 2 12 packs of it.  Now I’m set for a while.  Trying to get Susan hooked on it too!

Trying to get to the Zoom Meeting this morning and I lost the link.  I’ve texted Carol and Jeff, but I just thought it is at the Website so I’ll go there.  I’ll be back to continue.

So big announcement!  I finally got a chance to go out to a restaurant after 133 days!  It felt great!

We sat outside on the sidewalk.  It was on a busy street – Main Street – but was great!  The temperature was wonderful and we were in the shade!

This was the food:

I had the nachos!  They served everything on half sheet pans.  Genius!  I could only eat 1/2 of mine and brought 1/2 home, but I’m going to toss it today – I don’t want it again.  It didn’t stay hot – and the cheese was cheese whiz or something, but the brisket was really good.  I should have just gotten the brisket only.  The Onion Rings were really good – thanks for sharing Susan!

Here we are – got the waitress to take our picture:

So for my first dinner at a restaurant since March – it was pretty good!

I’m looking out of my window here and I’ve just watch my neighbor dump his black tank!  FUN!  Now he is using a drill to lift his levelers so I guess they will be taking off early this morning.  Campgrounds!!!!!  Got to love them and I do!
