Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors! Day #255 for me today. Things are getting bad in America with this thing. Over 3300 people died yesterday! That is horrific! I hear and see more sad stories about how this is impacting families. I heard of our friend Guy of Guy’s BBQ in Naples dying. He was just 65. But there are others in various areas that are younger. So it’s pretty bad! Fortunately there is a vaccine that will begin being distributed next week to various places. It’s quite an undertaking! When it gets out here in AZ I’m definitely getting it. The vaccine is being distributed based on State population. We’ll see!
Anyway, speaking of seeing……..my surgery went very well. I had a slight headache the first day and then nothing else. I’ve got some big black “floaters” in my eye, but seeing out of my right eye is amazing. I can see, though, that I will need glasses due to my astigmatism. Right now I’m wearing my “old” prescription glasses so I can see this computer screen and read. But last night I watched TV – the big screen – without glasses. It’s amazing!!!!!! And the colors are so crisp and beautiful. I guess there was a “yellow” haze over everything before that I wasn’t aware of and now things are so much brighter. My next eye gets done on January 5th. Can’t wait. So by February, I’ll be able to get a new pair of glasses and will be ready to do some travelling in Daisy.
I’m already planning my first trip to Palm Springs RV Park which is a Thousand Trails in California. I can drive to Joshua Tree National Park from there. It looks like a super place. Bette and Suzan have been there and say it’s like Naples without the beach – mountains instead. Let me see if I can get the video of it from their site:

So it really looks great. They took my “free” reservation for March 16th to the 21st. Full hook ups FOR FREE! I’ll tow OTIS2 and drive over to Joshua Tree and there are a few other places close by for exploring. I’m already getting excited – just hope this COVID thing doesn’t make me cancel!
So this morning I woke up before sunrise – as always – and took this picture outside of the lights in my neighborhood and the moon with the North Star right by it. This picture doesn’t do it justice, but you might be able to see what I’m talking about:
It was really pretty!
So yesterday I was entertaining myself with YouTube and ran across this video:
I don’t usually watch her videos but happened to see this one. It’s about the LOVE’S in Benson and is scathing!!! I don’t think I’d ever use a shower at LOVE’S since I probably would have a full hook up at some point while traveling. Anyway, I’m sorry that she had a bad experience in Benson. But Bill and Cathy would probably like this because maybe it would keep people from moving to Benson. It really is a great place and too bad she had such a bad experience.
Here is the latest Roxie cuteness picture: SO CUTE!!!!
I just love her! So adorable. So happy for Dick and Doug!
I’m continuing this on Monday, December 14th. DAISY is HOME!
Very exciting! I think she is level enough so that no levelers are needed. I’ll check with Bill when he gets home. They went to Lost Dutchman State Park camping. I didn’t go – wasn’t invited – but wouldn’t have gone because it’s SO COLD. I even made reservations for one night at Kartchner for one night (Thursday) but cancelled because it is too cold and I don’t want to get sick before I get my eye done in January. That is my priority now!
So here is another view:
I think I’ll have an easier time backing her out. I can pull it around the corner of the carport and out into the street. Won’t try it yet, but will practice before I go out again. ANYWAT! Daisy is home now and I’m very happy. Now to pay for the slab………Merry Christmas to us all!
