Good Morning Wednesday, January 7, 2015

Hello World,

So today is our first Intergroup Meeting of 2015.  It’s going to be at the same church that the District Meeting is at the end of the month.  It may be confusing for some and some may not know of the change – although I hope by now they do.  It will be a new feeling with new the Steering Committee but I’m looking forward to it.  I love it that Ralph is Chair this year.  I think I’m ready with my reports.  I’ve got a lot going on with Area this weekend coming up also.  I sent in my Grapevine Report to the Area Chair.  I don’t know who the secretary is – although she is listed on the Agenda.  I’m also thinking about the organization of the District 20 Meeting at the end of the month.  Also, I’m getting emails for Sister’s by The Sea which I’m working on for July.  Then I also said I would work the Intergroup Office on Fridays from 4 to 7 which begins this week and I’m not sure of the procedures for that, so there is a lot going on in my head.  But fortunately, I have www.wyliesavesme.com to keep me sane – well at least I can get all of this out of my head so some of it clears so I can get to work and “focus”.

I just want you to see this fabulous picture from Bill and Cathy!  What a life!

What a life!

What a life!

I love this!  I’m not even sure where they are but who cares!  Doesn’t it look peaceful?  Speaking of “Peaceful”, I was in a discussion before church (we do a little “Adult Sunday School” before the service) and we were talking about a river being peaceful and one of our members said she couldn’t imagine how a river could be peaceful.  I asked her if she’s ever driven over the “Peace” river on the way to Sarasota?  Every time I drive over that bridge and see the calm expanse of water in all directions, a “peace” comes over me.  I love that ride!  She is originally from Colorado so she thinks river and sees the Colorado rapids – no peace there!  So there you go – just a different perspective!  She’s never driven that far north she says – I said she should one day!

I need to give Jon some “time” here too!  Here is his “Birthday” picture – not bad for a 68 year old:

This is the picture Ale posted for his birthday.  It gives you a little view of their beautiful home.  There are other pictures of that.  Let me see if I can find one quickly (running out of time).

Their home is beautiful over in Weston.  I should go over more often and pretend I’m at the Ritz!  House sitting anyone?  Hummmmmm!

Now I’m going to leave you with these two pictures of MY beautiful beach:

That first paragraph made me so tired when I read it 16 hours ago–in fact even the WORDS were tired, I could tell. They were beginning to falter along about your Area, then District announcements, but then…THEN came the pièce de résistance! Your sneaking into the Inter-Group staff lineup…MARY, if “service” will get you to heaven, you are already one of the brighter stars. I’d better stop here, before you get the idea that I’m trying to make your head so big, you’ll need to buy a “cover-up” hat–smiling!

Congratulations on your work, which is ALWAYS “more than” last year’s goals and output. YOU ROCK!

Speaking of the “Peace River” takes me back to my own “river-rat” days, the most peaceful months, years, of my life. As I look in reverse, those lessons taught by the Ohio River were what kept me alive long enough to make it here to AA–and a new life, with that slogan “www” SERENITY is the degree bestowed by RIVER U. Some people live and die on the river. Others just stop by for a period in their lives, and find God–I’m gonna post something like that–SHORT…with a twist (on FB!)

That IS beautiful home in Weston, FL. I absolutely LOVE those great rooms which resemble the finest hotel lobbies. I’ve never stayed (might not even WANT to?) in a Ritz Carlton. but have played violin in couple hundred times. Another WWW !!!

(From other day) Have to ‘splain to you, i DO like “Food Fotos” and cooking news, especially those pretty pictures which I can smell, almost taste though the monitor.

Hope you are feeling just wonderful, Mary. I am, even though I unknowingly sat next to a girl with (FLU?) tonight at IG mtg. Thanks for showing me the most difficult and obviously secret trick to opening the Asus..OMG Sometimes I feel almost as dumb as I AM–grin!!!
    Bye
