Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors. Today is day #318 for me. Day 5 of the Biden administration. Life is good!
Yesterday I was contacted by a women on FB Messenger about Daisy. Her name was Hilly. She wanted to check out Daisy and decided to drive from Tucson to Benson with her daughter Ellis to check it out. Ellis is the one that found Daisy on FB. They came by and showed up about 4PM. It was Hilary (Hilly) Hutchinson. She showed up in her gray Prius exactly on time. I brought them to Daisy. Ellis was IN LOVE – especially with the over cab bed and the privacy curtains. She was so cute! About 11 I think. The first thing they did was offer me this:
They are beekeepers and make lip balm. It’s a bag full of 4 lip balms. This one, “lip love” is super. Very minty and has a feeling of Eucalyptus. It’s very refreshing. Nice gift!
So we went for a drive out to Kartchner so she could see how Daisy performed on the highway. It was great to get to know them. So they left and said they would be in touch and wanted her. So that was exciting, a little sad, but exciting. BUT after thinking about it, they decided they needed to do more research – they had just started – and so were going to pass. I’m sad about it, because I really liked them and it would be nice to know Daisy was with a happy family. Anyway, I wished them well and offered my help with any questions they might have – even though I am by no means an expert like Bill, but I have some good experience I can share. I sent her a video of a tour of Daisy just after I got her showing a little “hominess” with my personal items and the quilt on the couch. I also sent her the video of the awning set up that I took when I was doing my walk through with Ken Hill. I told them to keep looking and to use YouTube for research. I’m hoping they’ll still be interested after they see other RV’s and how they are made and decide a Born Free is safer and better made. But perhaps a “Skoolie” would be more to their liking since they were pretty “hippyish”. But they did drive a Prius so I think they had the money. She never bargained with me and I was assuming she would pay the full price. I never took a deposit from her – no need! Ken didn’t require one from me either. We just “shook” on the deal. But I KNEW I wanted Daisy and she has worked out so well for me. But our weather is changing today and it’s supposed to be very cold with the chance of snow, so I don’t want to be driving Daisy anywhere right now. I had planned to meet her at the BOA in Tucson so we could take care of the transaction. I need to figure out where that bank is so if this happens again – which it will – I’ll know where I need to go.
Getting on the bandwagon – Bernie at the Inauguration!
So funny – everyone is getting into the act!
So funny! Love the kittens and the mittens!
So this just happened:
Suzee got a car! Meet ANGEL! Beautiful! It has 113,000 miles on it, but it has no blemishes! I am so happy for her. She can’t drive until March, but this a step in the right direction! So proud of her! Congratulations Suzee!
It’s really snowing in Benson today:
I’m not sure you can really see it, but I thought it was just raining out, but it was so quiet – no sound like pouring rain. Just silence of the snow.
