Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors!  Day #352 for me.  So I have to show you CUTENESS OVERLOAD:  ROXIE!

New collar!

Dick says she loves to play with her bed!

Then she sleeps a lot:

SO ADORABLE!

So I’m still a little jealous about them having this dog.  I was not prepared for a puppy but would love to have a dog – but trained a little more than a puppy.  But really I have Metaxa and she loves sitting on my lap or in the sun and I am testing the halter on her.  I got a length of rope so she can go outside.  I’m going to try it at our house first but I’m waiting for the temperature to warm up a bit.  I’ll try it under the carport first and see how she does.  I don’t want her to scoot out the door without a leash of some sort on.  I’m still working out in my head about traveling with her in Mama Bear.  Will test it here first before I go any distance.  I did take her in there the other day, but she was afraid.  I wasn’t sure if she was just “cold” or “scared”.  Baby steps!

She is still unhappy with the harness, but I’m going to persevere.  It’s the only way I want to travel with her now that I have Mama Bear.  Not as many places to hide in her.  So now I’m trying to figure out whether I can let her be “free” in the truck while I drive.  She was fine in Daisy, but she had a lot of space to hide which was usually up over the cab:

She will be really “exposed” in Mama Bear:

We’ll get there.  It only takes time.  Speaking of that.  I think I’ll put the halter on her for a while right now.  I’ll be back.

OK – I just ordered a truck bed cover.  We’ll see how it goes.  It was under $300 which is much better than the $1600 the Shell place was giving me.  I don’t think I’ll need a topper – just a cover.  It’s worth a try.  Here is a picture of it:

Trident RapidRoll Tonneau Cover

It is from autoaccessoriesgarage, com.  I’m putting this here, so I have a record of where I bought it.  I’ll let you know how it goes.

I was supposed to go to La Mesa RV with Mama Bear today with the 30 day service.  I just called them and spoke with my service advisor Julio.  I decided I didn’t want to hook her up and drive to Tucson for that.  When I spoke with him, he said there isn’t anything they do exactly, just tweek things if necessary.  I don’t think it is necessary to do anything.  So why waste the gas.  So I’m staying put.  Plus it’s still really cold here in the mornings.  It’s still under 40 degrees and very chilly here.  I don’t see any reason to rush into the day.  I’m letting Metaxa wear her halter and sit in the sun on my bed.  I’ve lowered the temp in my house to 68 degrees from 70 to see if I save on the electric bill.  So far, Florida electric is cheaper than out here.  Not by much, but some.  I’m looking to save as much money as I can on stuff like that.  I just paid off my cell phone and want to lower my bill even more.  Bill and Cathy get an 9GB Prepaid phone through Verizon and it only costs $50.  My bill just reduced by $20 after the pay off, but I think I can do other things.  I’d love for my cell phone bill to be under $100 a month.  So I’m going to go to Verizon and check out my options.  Maybe by 10AM when they open, it will be a little warmer.

Bought a watch:

$30 bucks at Walmart.  AND – after many minutes, I finally got my cell phone bill under control.  I now am paying for a “prepaid” service like Bill and Cathy have.  I don’t need the Mifi any longer and got rid of the numbers associated with that and with my iPad.  SO – my bill will be $70 a month rather than $150 a month.  THAT IS INCREDIBLE.  It will take effect with the March bill.  By paying off my phone, I saved $20 this last month (February), but now I’ll be saving $960 a year and that will help pay for gas for more camping.  It’s a beautiful thing.
