Hello World,
Well yesterday, Dick painted my “wall”. It took him about 3 1/2 hours start to finish! It looks spectacular. I’ll add a picture of it shortly, once the light gets better in the house. Anyway, it was amazing what he did. I did the taping and he just slapped on the paint. It was amazing! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! The color is “Little Dipper” yellow – not “Lemon Yellow” – John! Anyway, it is such a sweet feeling having new paint on the wall. It brightens up the whole place. Of course, you know what that means……..the rest of the house needs to be painted. Well, all in due time – there is no real rush. I think I’ll even paint my bathrooms one of these days. I would like to paint the wall facing the kitchen a crazy “other” color. Not sure what I want yet. I do like the cantalope color for a bathroom and I may do that for the “guest bathroom”. I remember I painted my bathrooms when I lived at The Vineyards. They are small spaces, small walls and not too much to handle. I also remember we painted the kitchen “Yellow” – but I think it was a deeper yellow than we chose this time. The cats are having a fit with the house in disarray. Of course, that may be me and my OCD kicking in and just “blaming it on” the cats. And to think this all started with:
And of course Dick admitting he “loves to paint!” So on it goes. A new feeling for 2015!
So yesterday, I was getting my hair done and chit chatting with my “stylist” Karen. I’ve been going to her for years. We were talking about my new “life style” plan with the Paleo, no wheat, grains and sugar thing. She has battled her weight for years and years. And she is very knowledgeable in this type of eating – she has allergies and other assorted ailments. She loses weight and then puts it back on. Has success and failures. So anyway, she said for me to go to “Pinterest” and follow her and I can get all types of recipes from her walls. So of course, the first thing I do is download the app on my phone. I found this picture and love it as it matches this one:
So now I’m going to get “Addicted” to Pinterest. I’m trying to figure out how it works. First thing though was I “pinned” this blog to a wall that is titled “Blogs I Follow”. Next 2 blogs to be pinned will be Bill’s & Cathy’s and also Steve’s. So just what I need – another “FACEBOOK” like thing to occupy my time! My friend Pat Ruble – she worked at Moorings Park until she retired a couple of years ago uses Pinterest a lot. I noticed that after she retired and she was posting things all over the place. I never thought too much about “joining” in the fun (can you call this added addiction “fun” – some would say no). But here I am – it will give me fodder for my blog which might be fun. I determined that I first had to send a “Friend” request to Karen so I can follow her. I’ve noticed a bunch of my FB friends on Pinterest also. So more shall be revealed!
Time to get rolling. Oh yea, let’s see if I can get a new picture of the “Little Dipper” wall!
Don’t you LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! Thanks for visiting – look for me on Pinterest too. Let’s see what “Wyliesavesme.com looks like. You can “pin it” from my site. As Bob would say……TRY IT!

Never realized how fresh paint–whatever the color–would produce such altered pictorial views. Really looks good. Although Yes, I like…what is most important is that you who LIVE there like it…or LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it, as you write. I’ll have to drop by some day, ( maybe 2016) and either see the work in progress, or the finished product.
Certainly hope you pow-wowed with the “big feline three” FIRST, with their meows, purrs, and opinions. (Enuff on this)
I’ve had a Pinterest account, but had no idea what to do with it. Now, w renewed interest makes sense, someone to “pin” with…actually a whole lots of people from the Facebook tribe. You shall be seeing me, once I figure it out–maybe also 2016??
smiles.
Couple cold days coming up, before a warming trend on weekend. Stay warm, my friend, you are too valuable (involved) in Fellowship stuff…church, AA, and work, to become ill.
Nice to read your blog, and check out the photos, as usual, Mary. Thank you for “heads-up”
