Hello World!

Today is Tuesday and I’m going back to work after having a very productive 4 day weekend!  Dick finished painting my WHOLE house except the kitchen which I’m not sure what I want to do with that, although it will probably be white or else with the blue wall and the yellow wall, if we paint the kitchen another color it will look a little weird.  (Dick the decorator and “Voice of Reason”)!

Dick is absolutely correct about that.  I might be able to “spiff” up the kitchen by putting some kind of  “back splash” over the counters.  That might be a “Home Depot” teaching moment.  Also YouTube has stuff like that on it.  So we’ll see, but for now I think we’re done for a little while.  Dick thinks a very “light” blue in the guest room.  I agree.  I’d like to paint the guest bath a little “melon” or something.  I may even attempt to do that myself???? – probably NOT.

So here is Dick from yesterday as he attempted to climb the walls and paint to the highest point.  Looking at these pictures it makes me realize that God was watching after us!  He did a couple of crazy things and I let him.  But I did start “spotting” him a little better as the day went on:

Now comes the fun part!  I have the valence in my garage and I’m going to re-do it so it spiffs up the living room.  We should be able to do that with a “staple gun” and new fabric.  Boca Bargoons here I come.  What a fun thing we are doing together.  It’s been really great.

So yesterday when I wasn’t “spotting” Dick, I found a new thing on line.  It’s a website that lets you upload pictures that are in a “dead file” and are able to be used without worrying about “Copyright”  infringements.  So here are a couple of examples:

My friend Karen takes wonderful pictures of flowers and things.  I can get them from FB, but now I have another source.  But I love pictures and it is fun to put them on this blog so I have them for the future.  The website is:

So yesterday as Dick and I were painting – he was painting, I was supporting and cheering him on – our cousin Luann was dealing with this:

She put this picture on FB yesterday!  Wow – I forget what that is like but I’m glad I don’t have to deal with that anymore.  She also put a sweet picture of Riley on her FB page – that dog is nothing but Sweet, Sweet, Sweet!

But of course, his cousins rival him in my book!  Aren’t these the cutest cats EVER?
