Well today is Valentine’s Day. I received a Valentine through the mail from my “cats”! I can’t figure out who sent it to me. I thought it was Jackie, then I thought it was Lily, then I thought it was Fabriena – strike 3! So now I’m taking a picture of the envelope and I’m going to post it here and send it to Bill because it may have been him!

I slept until 6:30 which is “unheard of” for me. I’m still in my PJ’s not wanting to take a shower yet. I even have socks on! That’s COLD!
Today I’m going to meet Dick and Doug down on 5th Avenue to look at the Ferrari Club cars. We’re supposed to meet around 1PM. I called Andy (my old neighbor downtown) and asked to park in their parking lot so I could walk up to 5th Avenue from there and not worry about finding parking down town. That should be fun – they plan to “roar” off the street at 3PM – that will be interesting!
So later I’m going to set up for the BB meeting at the Naples Group. Polly’s mother is coming to town today and she doesn’t want to have to come early to set up. She is supposed to drop off the key to me this afternoon. This meeting has become so big that we now are setting up the big coffee maker and the smaller one for decafe. I don’t know the portions and I’m trying to get her to tell me what they are. I guess I’ll need to bring some cookies although I don’t want to be responsible for bringing cookies every Saturday for the whole year that I’m “in charge”. It’s gonna be a lot just setting up and getting people to chair and be vice chair so spending money on cookies is not something I want to have to do. I know they’ll reimburse me, but I’m not sure I want to do that either. So more shall be revealed and we’ll see how it plays out. I know it will be fine. It is interesting being part of this group. I love all the people that are members. I’ve started to feel “a part of” and now I’m even going to the Thursday night meeting without hesitating. I was using the “excuse” before that it ended too late and I had to get to work the next day – but that wasn’t really true. I just didn’t want to go and now that has changed! I like going on Thursday too! Last Thursday, Roy and Heather spoke. That was really great. They both did a great job and I learned a lot about both of them. Still I don’t like speaking in front of a big crowd and I’d rather do the “back of the house” stuff. But my night will come I suppose so I better just let it happen!
In the continuing saga of Nightly News: Brian Williams is suspended for 6 months without pay. Fall from Grace. Can’t see him surviving this. I’m sad. Lester Holt is a good anchor – I wonder if he’ll continue. Too ethnic? Oh well life will go on and it may be time to switch to CBS news. We’ll see – maybe I’ll stop watching the news!
I have a new app on my phone – it’s called “Smart News”. It sends out texts about certain “headline” news stories. Maybe I’ll just settle for that and not worry about watching the news although I’m in the habit of eating my dinner and watching the news. Time will tell!
Well I guess that’s about it for today. I’m going to hop in the shower and clean up the house a little then go to Walmart for my weekly shopping trip. Then it is down to 5th Avenue. Have a great day everyone……thanks for visiting!

Take a picture of some machines today? Please? I miss the Collier Auto Museum (which remains open, but not for us public Peeps!)
But of course, now there is the “GARDEN”, which is “Creation in Its Perpetuity”…YESSS!
Re: BEING the SPEAKER: Consider writing out your “AA Story”–like those stories in back of the book–just to straighten it all out in your mind–not to “read”. Then only thing you’d have to deal with is the 150-299 PEOPLE! LOL! I believe once you get started “speaking” there will be no stopping you–literally! smiles!
Never heard of Lester Holt…get most of news from Internet. Or FOX. But…can take or leave TV.
I’ll make an offer (publicly) to be there early every Saturday, start coffee, set up tables and chairs, which will give you time to bake cookies! How’s THAT?!!

That is a good idea about writing my story out. That would help a lot. I liked the $5 cookies at Walmart. I’m going to bring them each week – no one can touch Polly’s homemade ones so I’m no gonna try. Thanks for your commitment to help on Saturdays. It will be good and maybe someone else will come to help too.
