Hello World!
Yesterday was a day off and Dick and I painted my guest room. Well, he painted, I followed around cleaning up and taping places and taking off switch plates and moving furniture and keeping the cats out of the blue paint that looked white in the can until it hit the wall. That was funny! Anyway here is the “before” and “after” pictures:
Actually, these two pictures don’t show that much of a difference due to the iPhone camera, but the first one shows the walls a pink color and now the room is blue. I’ve noticed by being in the house all day yesterday, the color changes as the day goes on. It is really pretty and is matching the color on the entrance wall:
It’s in the same “family” of colors. Here is a picture of the progress so you can see the difference:
Now I need help bringing the bureau back into it’s space. It is currently in the guest bathroom. I guess I’ll let Dick come back and help me – but then again, I’ll probably figure out how to do it myself before that happens. Plus I can’t put the curtain rod up by myself, I need a little help with that, but all in due time. That’s my current motto: All in due time! It gives me relief that I don’t need to get everything done and things can wait if necessary. I put the blind back up in the window so that will keep the sun out. I should have “washed” the window while the blind was down, but I didn’t. Maybe another time!
Last night I went to the Serenity Club’s Grapevine Meeting. It was really good. I figured out how to drive around to the “back” of the building next time so I don’t need to do a Uturn on 951. As I was leaving last night there was an accident at that “uturn” spot I used earlier. That is why I don’t want to go that way – especially as the dark is setting in.
Need to remember to “Spring” ahead this weekend! Love the “Time Change” – hope Florida adopts the law “not to change the time” – it always throws me off for a while.
Well, it’s time to get rolling – gotta get ready for work. Have a beautiful day. Thanks for visiting!

Mary, you make “painting a room” sound simple, an easy four hours.
Anyone who’s ever painted knows that ain’t so. You and cousin Dick have worked long and hard, and WELL–but paced yourselves. GOOD JOB! (I have short story about “Good Job”.)
When ever I was involved in painting, it took longer plus more energy to prepare, clean, move furniture, tape certain places, get tools in order, set up cloths and ladders…than painting EVER took. I like “hammer-and-nail” jobs, in and out in 10″. Like to hang pictures, Have SO many by Facebook friend-artist Ces. HOWEVER…you must be proud, delighted with guest room, it’s truly gorgeous.
Plz check the text under each picture of guest room, OK? The one on left looks REEELY good, even has bonus–catz!
BTW, I believe all should “travel” to other meetings/groups now and then. Different People! Different perspectives. Different attitudes, outlooks on life? SAME purpose, reason for being there. Also for the GROUP, I believe it brings in a breath of fresh air. (I can see/watch this happen over a few weeks.)
Enjoy LIVING…until next time. Thanks for heads-up on time change!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I really enjoy doing the blog. Somedays are easier than others. I’m at 9568 steps right now so I’m going out again to go around the circle and listen to Clancy.

Sorry, I was not clear…the labels under guest bedroom photos should be reversed? (I think!) Plz forgive if I’m wrong, but one on left is beautifully coordinated sky-blue–on right is shoddy pink–grin!
Is it not GREAT that we can listen to so many of those AA talks for FREE? Loving it. WWW
