RV Life with Mama & Papa #40 Saturday, October 16, 2021

Good Morning Road Warriors!  I drove to Safford the other day to check out my site at Roper Lake State Park for a trip with RVW in April 2022.  I chose site #25 which is the last site in the loop.  The host of the group reached out to me to say it’s a small site, but should be ok for a small camper.  So I decided to check it out myself.  She is right – it is small, but I think I can back Mama up to the curb and have her rear end hanging over the curb into the surrounding area.  Then I can unhook Papa and park him beside her.  It’s a sweet little State Park.  Beautiful mountains surrounding it – here is a view of the mountain:

WOW and there is a lake nearby too. It is only about an hour from my home. Should be fun!

I sent a gift to Carol G the other day. She got it – she is a collector of crosses. I thought of her when I was on Route 66 in Williams:

I thought it was sweet and she really likes it.  That is GREAT!

I’m down to one screen on my puzzle:

One screen of pieces left

This is really a fun puzzle to do.  I’m getting down to the harder pieces to place.  Most of the words are already placed so it’s going to be the harder pieces to set.  I’ll definitely finish this one.  Can’t wait!

SO it’s getting busy here at CT-RV!

All but one pull through is full

It’s fun to watch people come back for the winter – Bill and Cathy included. I actually went to the “Fireside Chat” on Saturday evening with Jack and a bunch of HOA neighbors. People hang out and bring food to share. Jack brought cookies. It’s every Saturday. May become a habit.

I’m continuing this blog on Monday, October 18, 2021.

I participated in a group HIKE this morning. First time going on a planned hike with a group of neighbors at CT-RV. There is a planned hike every Monday morning beginning at 8AM. Today’s hike was to McKenzie Ranch Trails Park. There were 11 of us. 3 vehicles. I rode with Jack Murphy and Pat Bale. Jack drove his Jeep Wrangler – beautiful Jeep that he is going to sell now that he has a big RAM truck. No room for all of the toys under the carport. He has a Harley and a golf cart in addition to the truck.

The hike took about an hour.  Altogether we were gone about 2.5 hours.  My kind of adventure.  The weather was beautiful, nice cool breeze the entire time.  Beautiful BLUE sky:

Interesting Dead Tree
Cool Tri Barrel Cactus along the trail
Not sure what type of cactus but really interesting
Birds nest in this part of that cactus!

This trail was well marked:
