RV Life with Daisee2 #3 Monday, November 8, 2021

We went on a fabulous adventure the other day.  It was to a ranch out in the desert.  It was a fundraising weekend for them.  It was great!

Cows in the corral

They had a program with inmates from the ADC (Arizona Department of Corrections) where they learn to work with Burros and Horses.  It’s really incredible what they can do with those horses.  There were other groups there, including the Adopt a Donkey folks:

I think I read that I could adopt a donkey for $125. I think I’ll look into that because I’d love to have one without the muss and fuss of everyday care. I bought a raffle ticket for this car so Jack can have a “hot rod”!

Here is a picture of one of the rooms on the ranch they were showcasing. It is a working ranch now, but they’ve kept a number of buildings open to the public to view:

Did you notice the new name of the blog?  It’s now Daisee2.  That is because I ordered a vanity plate for her and it is “on the way”.  That way I can always remember what my license is.  So lucky!

So we’re getting Daisee2 ready for our camping trip next week.  It’s going to be interesting sharing the space with another human!  Just another FIRST in our relationship!  So here she is with her patches:

Susan gave me this idea.  If you remember this is how they were in Mama Bear:

I decided to use another key holder in Daisee2 this time. I couldn’t find the old one for the longest time and finally gave up on it. (I subsequently found it thankfully – it had an extra set of truck keys on it). Anyway, I love this one anyway and it was not being used in the house:

Yesterday we sat and made an inventory of items in Daisy. I still have a lot of room in the cabinets so I think we’ll do okay in her. I want to drive her down to weigh her. But that is a project for another day. Right now we’re focusing (at least I am) on our trip to Kartchner. I’m leaving Metaxa (and Jack is leaving Odie) for two nights on their own. Should be interesting.
