Hello World!
I just realized that I put the wrong date on this post! I was wondering why it said “2” on it. Well, it really is the 22nd and I should know that as you’ll see later in this post. It is my anniversary afterall!
I’m going back to work today after having a 4 day weekend. I enjoyed my time off. I visited with my brother and his family, I rode Red, I spoke at a meeting (way out of my comfort zone), I had a Website Meeting, printed tickets for the Corrections Picnic in October so they’ll be ready for sale in August and I cleaned my house and did laundry. Yesterday I waited around for a repairman between the hours of 1 and 4 and he showed up at 5. I was a little peeved about that, but what can you do? I need a new water filter for the refrigerator, but other than that it is ok. I was complaining about the ice maker making a funny noise, but apparently it was just the fan turning on. He said it was OK. He did cause a problem with water squirting out of the filter area and spraying all over the inside of the refrigerator. Luckily he figured out how to turn off the water to it and showed me where that was so now I know.
Oh yes, today is my Anniversary – 12 years today. What a journey. It’s been an adventure. I want to thank God and my friends for helping me with my journey. I know I could not have done it without that help. Jackie texted me this morning and my ODAAT app congratulated me when I woke up this morning. Life is good!
Aunt Pat moved into her new apartment in Darien yesterday. I sent a message of encouragement to Dick (my cousin) yesterday. It will be nice to see her settled when I go up next week for my High School Reunion. I’m sure they are all exhausted. It’s a big thing with lots of details to attend to. When the dust settles, I think everyone will be happy with the change. I’m sending another card to her today.
