Good Morning Everyone,

Well things have really changed after almost a month since my last blog.  We are in Tucson now.  Here is a snapshot of what we have done:

Here is another shot:

Livingroom in Tucson

We’ve (especially Jack) been very busy getting this place together. It is SO WONDERFUL! Jack’s stuff looks amazing in here. We’re going to bring my stuff here after a while. I love the “minimal” feel of the place right now. Ideally, I would like my desk, my bed & my dining room furniture and the Oriental Rug for the dining area. We can move my desk – I think it won’t be too heavy for us and it will fit in the bed of the truck. One step at a time. There is no rush.

First cup of coffee in the morning with a view!

You can see the camp chair where the dining room table will go eventually. We’ve begun to hang some “things” on the wall. I talked Jack into putting the iguana on the wall hanging – SO CUTE!

Look at the iguana!

This is on the wall between the “guest bath (see the teal towels?)” and the laundry room. The laundry room is a closet – not really a room, but it’s big. I’ve run one load of wash and the doors keep it pretty quiet. Anyway, the Indian rug matched the light fixture in the hallway pretty well. I thought it would be cool to put the metal iquana climbing on it. Jack wasn’t so sure, but I think it’s adorable. I think he’ll be ok with it after a while.

Here is the guest bath.

Here is the master bath.

That is the master shower – my shower curtain and Jack’s toilet seat

Here are two pictures of the master bath – not much room in there and it’s an odd shape:

Not room for 2 in this bathroom

Here is our kitchen table set up. Originally I thought I wanted an “island” in there, but this little table works great and I’m finding with all of the counterspace in the kitchen, an island shouldn’t be needed.

You saw the view through the pass through up above. We have the TOVALA oven here so we can be fed dinner! The windows in the kitchen look out our front walkway to 1st Street and the mailbox.

Here is the bedroom:

Bedroom – it’s HUGE

Jack’s bed and dresser, my bedside table which is really a “game table” from Aunt Marjorie and the walk-in closet door.

We even have some yard art arranged.

Here are a couple of other things:

My “Office” set up

I’m using a beautiful card table that belonged to Jack’s parents. It’s so pretty – a deep, sparkly red. It needed a lamp so we went to Goodwill and I found this perfect lamp. It was 1/2 off so it cost me $2.50. The lampshade was also perfect. It’s red with dragon flies on it. I brought my printer and laptop from Benson and after a considerable effort speaking with a tech in India, I connected it and it is working. So my “office” is pretty well set for the time being until my “desk” gets here. It’s working out great! Plus I set up ALEXA so I can have my “own personal assistant”.

So this is a thing too………we had a huge rod iron fireplace tool holder which the previous owner put in the hall closet, After trying it on the fireplace hearth, we decided it was too big for the fireplace and I put it on Marketplace to sell. Well, instead we re-purposed it into a “shoe holder” at the front door. I love it:

I love our wooden front door – it’s so “rich”. The security door is wonderful also. The other door is the door into the garage and in-between is the front porch.

Here is what our backyard and front yard looks like:

Front Yard

Our view through the security gate to the mailbox. Love the yard art of Jack’s – especially the huge wagon wheel! Don’t you love the Organ Pipe Cactus! There is “grass” in front – maintenance free astro turf. It’s really very cool – better than the rocks as our front yard like in Benson – it feels great on bare feet!

And finally, here is our back yard:

Here is the porch furniture – Jack’s!

And the best part – the view:

Our magnificent view

Here is our first colorful sunset:

That is about all for now. Thanks for visiting. We’re really happy here! Keep in touch!
