#227 Good Morning Fourth of July, 2015

Hello World,

So here we are Day 5 of my vacation!  I am so incredibly grateful for my life now and for my friends.  I have enjoyed this International so much!  Makes me reconsider going to Detroit, but I don’t think I’ll go there.  I can’t imagine going to that city – I may need to skip that one and go in 10 years!  We’ll see.  But this one has been so great so far and I haven’t made one meeting yet.  Just doing “my thing” which is whatever I want.  Having breakfast with Carol Ann today.  Can’t wait for that.

This is such an experience and we have two more BIG Meetings to go.  I had a tough time hearing last night.  I’m not sure if it was because we were up so high or what, but I couldn’t hear what people were saying.  I’d hate to think I need hearing aids now!  Jeez!

What a wonderful night!  After the event, we took Marta back home.  It was so crowded but better than trying to take a cab.  It was so cool.  The weather here is great.  In the 70’s and 80’s and very low humidity.  It rained yesterday a couple of times, but I managed to miss having to walk in it.

Today I’m going to Breakfast as I mentioned.  Then Carol Ann will drop me off for my shift at the GWCC for the Grapevine from 10 to Noon, then I’m open for anything.  Probably try to get to a meeting.  I’ve heard they are hard to get into there and people get turned away.  But we’ll see.  Still on the search for a badge holder.  I should get a tee shirt like the one I have from 2005.  But that is about all I want to get this time around.  Of course, we’ll see about that once I get to Sober City!
