#235 Happy Joyous & Free 13 years – July 22, 2015

Hello World,

So today is my AA Anniversary.  If you will note, it’s #13.  So that is amazing and I will need to be very diligent to make it to #14.  Seems I like to bail out after 13 years, but that was when I was “drinking”.  I have a “new life” now and I think I’ll stay.  I have many more people in my life supporting me so I think they’ll help me “stay the course”.  I started this a little late today because my computer is “running slow” and I seem to have picked up a virus.  I’ll need to take it in to get it “cleaned out”.  I think I’ll take it to Steve’s “guy” because I had to take it back to Office Max the last time I had it in there and I’m not really convinced the guy knew what he was doing.  He seemed like he did on “first blush” but then the second time, not so much.  I’m just waiting to hear back from Steve about the place to go.  I forget what the name of the place is.  I think I took it there when they were off of Pine Ridge Road to get a new fan put in the laptop, but they were in the process of moving to a new location downtown somewhere.

Yesterday was our “Grapevine” meeting.  We met for about 1/2 hour and I mostly talked about the International experience and our next event to cover will be Serenity by the Sea in October, so not much other going on.  We have money enough to offer some subscriptions so we’ll need to keep that in mind as things “pop” up.  Haven made it to our meeting yesterday.  Then we went to Crispers for dinner.  It was a good time meeting with her.  Listening to the drama in her life makes me grateful for my cats!  It made me think about my brother and his family this morning also when I was writing them a Thank You Note for Ale’s Birthday Bash at HB’s.  Here is a picture of the “birthday girl”:

I had that Key Lime Pie for dessert also – it was REALLY GOOD!  Here is another picture of “us”:

So nice of them to drive over to Naples to celebrate.  It was crazy there that night.  There was a free Jazz on the Green concert and people everywhere.  Funny….. I used to go there “religiously” when I was married.  We went to every one of the concerts and got drunk every time.  I used to think I liked jazz, but really I don’t like it that much.  I guess that is pretty funny now.

Jonny was telling us a story about Mario getting into a little trouble in Orlando.  I think he got arrested and his car impounded – but maybe it was just “towed” somewhere.  But anyway, Jonny was trying to get him out of trouble long distance from Weston and tried to just get the guy who towed the car to buy it so he didn’t have to drive to Orlando.  But turns out he had to drive to Orlando anyway to pick up the kid and bail out the car.  Another thing I’m glad about that makes me grateful for my cats!

So I’m really grateful today and I’ve run out of time which probably you are grateful for so thanks for visiting.  Have a beautiful day today!

You have a “new life” now. as do we all…funny, when we listen to some others, and hear of the chaos in their lives, then we become grateful we’ve found our real selves and can live in light instead of darkness.

OH MARY! These PICTURES! I’ve seen them in Facebook…but on the blog they become BEAUTIFULLY ALIVE…worthy of matching frames (maybe with a bit ‘o yellow?–grin!)

And yes, there are so many reasons to be grateful for Domino, Wylie and Metaxa your little home-family…YOU a lucky girl!

Congratulations again, on #13. From now on the years don’t get “easier” or “harder”…THEY JUST GET BETTER!!!
    Bye

Thanks again Steve. Nice poem about Moorings Park! My laptop is at your favorite Computer Shop. I’m using my ASUS and it is very hard to read and type on but I just put it at 145% and that helps A LOT!
