Good Morning World,
So today I’m using my little ASUS computer to write my blog. My other laptop has a virus and is being repaired again. This time I’m using the guy that Steve suggested and Frenchy also put in the fan that needed replacing in that computer. It’s a little different using this computer because the keyboard is different. But I love this little computer. I should be able to pick up my other one today. Already I miss it because I’m realizing that I don’t have the same pictures on this computer – but that’s on purpose because I don’t want to use up the space on this one. But I just need to put this on today so I have it in “Wylie”. It was given to me by my friend Lauren Fair from DHS (Darien High School).

Today is FRIDAY! I always LOVE Fridays. It is my “catch up” day at work. Today, I’m looking forward to getting my laptop from the “shop”. I miss it! I was talking to a guy last night at the meeting and he was telling me about his new computer that is a “touch screen” and has all the bells and whistles. I’ve gotten to the point that I realize that my “desktop” computer should just “go away”. I hardly ever use it because of the outdated operating system. Now that I have Publisher on the laptop, I really don’t need to have the other machine. But it does have a LOT of pictures on it that I don’t have on the laptop, so it’s worth saving just because of that. Not really sure I’ll ever need those pictures again, but maybe when I “retire” I’ll organize them somehow. Probably on “Picasa” or one of those “Cloud” programs. But that is a project for another time.
I’ll be going to Intergroup today as long as my day at work goes well and I don’t get hung up with some sort of project that keeps me there past 4. Only time will tell. I’m expecting Frenchy to call me during the day so I can drop down to pick up my laptop from him. Then I’ll have it to use at Intergroup while I “man the office” for a few hours. Steve said he’ll be by too. I’m going to attend the Quarterly in Sanibel. We’re driving up together, Bill, Roy and me – I’m driving TY. They’re coming over at 6:30AM on Saturday to start from my house. We’ll be back in the afternoon of Saturday in time to make it to the Naples Group meeting at 6:45. I have Brian opening and Steve (another Steve) is doing the coffee. I suppose I should try to bring some “cookies” – we’ll see about that. Can’t rely on Polly to do that since she is in Ohio, but we’ll see. We all miss the guy who used to bring Pizza to the meeting. I never ate it but others enjoyed it.
Well time is up for today. I need to get rolling along. I want to see if Cathy has posted anything on their blog recently, but I’m not sure if I have a short cut to it on this computer. Anyway, thanks for visiting. Have a beautiful day!

I’m trying this way of commenting. I just picked up my laptop and I think it’s faster. Cost me $127.00 to get it “cleaned” up. I’m glad I called the guy back today, because he said he didn’t get my message and he was going to close early today. So I left early from work even though I had LOTS TO DO. The important thing was that I got those dreaded schedules done. UGH! Already there are changes! I’ll deal with that on Monday. The weekend has begun!

To clean virus from a computer I’ve seen prices of $250…so I think you got a bargain–IF it is really fixed For me, having computer back home is almost like having a cat returned–or a chil..NO, I won’t go that far!
A TIP on planning to do things (like organize photo albums!) upon retirement, Mary. YOU WON’T HAVE TIME…that’s the truth! And you will NEVER KNOW where the time went…

I had to jump through some hoops, but DID GET the Sunday BIG meeting downloaded–works just GRAPE!

My email had that “commercial” on it again, so I may have to take the computer back to Frenchy to fix it again. Makes me wonder what really gets done when it gets “fixed”. But then again, maybe it isn’t a virus afterall. We’ll see. I would guess if it continues to happen over the next week or so, I’ll take it back so he can “clean it ” again. Jeeezzzz!

Awwww, I’m sorry for ya, Mary. What anti-virus do you have installed? Not that I “know” anything, but I know what “works”…AVAST anti-virus–it’s free.
OF COURSE!
Warning…this time he may have to re-install the OS, so if you have anything which cannot be replaced–copy onto some thumbnails or a DVD…
