Good Morning World!
So this morning I woke up and I thought it was MONDAY! That bugs me a little, but I’m happy I have another day to be off of work. On Friday I had my “annual” review with Lily. I still have a job and I’m getting a little raise (maybe $.15 an hour. I can’t remember). I looked at my aggregate score on my appraisal from 2 years ago. It was 4.15. This year it was 3.90. I really hate these appraisals. It would be nice to get more “5’s” – being the perfectionist that I am but my lowest score is a “3” which I guess is about a “C” if 5 is an “A”. So I’m at a C+ average this year. Oh well! I did mention that I was considering that I would like to retire “one of these days” but won’t be looking to do that too soon. I can start collecting my $1100 when I turn 66 and that is only 7 months from now. So I’ll start doing that and hope for the best.
Yesterday after my 8AM meeting I went to Polly’s to return the cat carrier I borrowed to take Domino. I order a “big” on from Amazon yesterday so I’ll put the little one on Craig’s list to try to sell it. Anyway, her whole neighborhood was have a big “garage” sale. I have been thinking about buying a bicycle trailer to give the kids a ride out side. So I saw one in one of the driveways and low and behold, it was where Josette and her husband Rigo live. They were selling one for $20. Unfortunately, another woman bought it from under me. But Rigo said there was another one down the street. So I went down there and found it. They wanted $40 for it. I tried to get it for $35 but then paid $40 for it. But I looked on line and they were much more than that, so I think I got a bargain! So here we are:
I even found her sleeping in the trailer yesterday. I think she may cooperate. Forget Domino in there, but Metaxa might be forced to get in it. I think I’ll try to roll them around in it in the house first. Then try it outside. I may end up selling it again, but who knows it might be fun! Anyway, I thought it might be nice to have a “neighborhood” garage sale in our neighborhood. It’s a great idea! It was fun going from place to place.
Then I went to Food Angels and took the leftovers to St. Matt’s. It was mostly bread, but when I got there, there were at least 3 shopping carts full of loaves of bread. So I hope they can use all of that!
So today I’m taking my “cookies” to church for our Bake Sale/Auction. Actually, they are Polly’s cookies, but I put them in their “Bunny Buckets”. Here they are:
I tried to make the 4 on top look like Hershey Kisses, but it didn’t really work that well. But I made 6 of them so we can sell 6 dozen. I’m supposed to do the counting at church this month and I also have a ticket for “Into the Woods” at Community School today. I wanted to go with JB since we did the one for the Naples Players so many years ago, but we couldn’t coordinate our schedules, so I decided to go on my own. It just opened, and I know it gets better further on in the run, but I got this ticket for today. They have a pretty good ticket system. I was able to print out the ticket from the web. So I guess the house will have to wait for next weekend to be cleaned!
I’m going to wrap this up now. I want to look for a video on my new bike trailer to see how it works. Thanks for visiting.
