Hello Everyone,
So yesterday on FB I was challenged by Becky Buerman to participate in the ALS ICE BUCKET Challenge. It is to raise awareness of ALS. I saw it on FB before but I love the way it has connected so many of us and I hope serves the purpose. So now I’m doubly challenged. Not only to film the video but also put it on this blog. I’ve downloaded it, but I’m not sure if it is going to work. I called Jackie and texted Polly yesterday after my challenge and was hoping they would be available to help. Polly was at a meeting in North Naples, and Jackie was still at work. I spoke with Polly and she gave me a great idea to film it myself. Hummmm – could it be done? Well YES IT CAN! So here is the video with a couple of more challenges (4 that is). I hope it works.
Well, I guess that link will work. Guess (as Bob would say) “I’ll TRY IT”. If it doesn’t work, this is on my timeline on FB so you can see it there. It’s pretty lame!
But this brings up a good idea. I’ve challenged myself to raise money and awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease and have successfully raised $500 so I’m in the Champion Circle and I’m doing the walk on Saturday morning, November 15th. That is the same day as the Gratitude Dinner so why not do something else that day! Anyway, they have a website for me and I should figure out how to put that here on this blog. OK so I figured out how this works. The movie gets downloaded to your computer – I was hoping it would just open up. The Certificate opens up fine and my Alzheimer’s Home Page needs to be copied into your browser, but it opens up to my home page. So my work is done here for today. See you tomorrow. I go to jail tonight with a meeting. Life is good!
