Hello World!

So what is happening today?  Oh I know, I get to go to a “sleep over” in the SWAMP!

This is where Bill & Cathy live

This is where Bill & Cathy live

Look, I’ve set up my beach chair and we’re sitting by the “campfire”.  Oh, yea – that’s later today!  I’ll be happy at work thinking about the “Escape”!

Yesterday at work I took this picture: (It’s for Bill and Cathy)!

We love Lacey!

We love Lacey!

Lacey comes with her “handler” Price each week to visit our residents.  She is THE SWEETEST, enthusiastic Golden.  She is always so happy and beautiful.  If you look further down the hallway, you’ll see Betty Bickford (Activities Assistant) and Mrs. Curtean – our 108 year old resident.  Yesterday she came around with a great big basket of Christmas “goodies” for everyone.  The Activities Team is so great at Orchid Terrace.  Her English is not so good, but she smiles and says “Veddie Goooood” and Merry Christmas to us (She is from Romania).  What a blessing in my life to know someone like her.  It’s amazing!

Metaxa is doing it again!

Too Cute!

Too Cute!

So funny! Ha, Ha, Ha, Ha, Ho, Ho, Ho, Ho!

We also have other dogs come to visit us at Orchid Terrace.  I’m going to go on FB to see if I can get a picture of Winston.  Be right back…….

Winston comes in with Mary and they walk with our residents around the building and through the grounds.  Winston is really smart!  He does puzzles and finds “prizes” and is also involved in agility competitions.  He is also beautiful, enthusiastic and loving.  I get my “dog” fix this way.  I’m so lucky to be in an environment that is so nurturing.  I get to go to work every day and have all kinds of excitement.  Our Christmas decorations are wonderful and I get my “Christmas Tree” fix at work too.  (Come back tomorrow for the “Christmas Tree” fix).  I don’t have a Christmas Tree because of the kitties – Domino likes to eat Christmas Trees.  I put my little fake tree out by my front door so we look out at it from the front porch.  I love my Christmas Lights though.  So there is “Christmas Spirit” at my house!

So today is payday!  Money in the bank – paying bills!  Life in America!  So Blessed!

Have a beautiful day today.  I know I will.  Thanks for “stopping” by!

Mary, a sleep-over in the “river of grass” may give you some “escape” ideas for when you’ve scheduled too much “life” in a week. I do identify with your Family members, Cathy and Bill. Always that wanderlust is lurking in the back of my head.

Metaxa is a “most darling” cat, she could pose for commercials–so long as they did it HER way! Your pictures of her have improved also. Different camera?

Sure agree, you don’t NEED a decorated tree at home, since you are almost ALWAYS somewhere else doing grape things

RR was at his BEST this morning, IMO, and your “treeless” living room brought me that thought.

Have a stress-less day and restful night, Mary.

    WWW it IS!

The River of Grass Sleepover was phenomenal! We sat by a campfire and met a guy named Mike and his little black dog DeeDee. He just became an “RV’er”. Divorce – wife got the condo on Marco, he the truck and enough to buy an RV for a home. He’s going to volunteer out in the “Swamp” for a while. Originally from Detroit. Bill and Cathy were giving him the “important” things “not to do” with an RV. They’ve been doing it for 14 years! Anyway, this will probably be repeated on Wylie today – I’m just getting to that and it’s NOON.
