There is a bug flying around in the house this morning and Metaxa really wants to catch it. She is waiting and waiting until just the right moment to grab it. I just love watching her, she is so petite and sweet. She is a little skittish around visitors which makes for a challenge when I go away and Jackie comes in to feed them – she is usually behind the couch.
I’m taking today off today so it has made for a nice long 4 day weekend. It was a great weekend – so good to see Jon and Ale for her birthday. I need to make an effort to go over to their place to visit. They have a lovely home and it is like a 5 star hotel. He said they are going to redo the kitchen. That is not a fun task I’m sure. They should go on a long trip when that is happening, but I guess it would be better for them to be there to supervise, since things can go wrong in those types of projects.
Not sure what I’m going to do today. Still on my first cup of coffee. It’s already warm outside. I did get a chance to ride Red yesterday. It was around 6PM which is later than I would normally go on a Sunday, but since I knew I was going to be off today, I took off and now Red is all set with a full tank of gas. I’m really happy that I bought Red. I paid $2800 for her back in May of 2012. She only had 4400 miles on her. Now I have 7700 miles on her, but she can surely go 100K miles. She is only a 2007 so there is a lot more life in her than I’ll be able to put on her. I’m sure enjoying her now. It is especially nice to have her to ride when the weather cools down.
I just remembered that I made a call to Home Tech to come by to fix (or replace) my ice maker, so I’ll be home waiting for that for a while. Hopefully it will be at the end of the day which is the usual time frame. Now I’ll need to decide which meeting I’ll attend today based on that schedule.
I fixed the internal clock for my site yesterday. I searched around and found that I needed to insert “New York” as my time zone and now I see that the clock is giving me the correct time. That is just another thing that I’ve learned with this website process. At least it will let me know when people respond to the blog in “real time”.
