Good Morning Monday, February 2, 2015

Hello Everyone!

Well it’s another day off for me today.  I had a beautiful Sunday!  It was gorgeous here in Naples.  I got invited over to watch the Superbowl with Heather and Ralph.  It was great – I only stayed until halftime – something about lazing around at home in my pajamas to watch the game.  I went to bed before it was over so the first thing I did was ask “Siri” who won this morning.  He knew – Go Patriots!  Even though there is some controversy with their team.  I watched the Katy Perry half-time show.  Don’t get her!  Anyway, superbowl is over for another year and all those people who spent so much money for a 4 hour game – more power to them.  I bet there are some “hungover” fans today.  Glad I don’t do THAT any more!

So I’m looking at my “sweet” Domino today.  He is so big and can be ferocious!  I’m going to try to get him to the vet I think to get his claws done.  It will be a little expensive because they’ll probably insist on giving him a shot or two.  He hasn’t been to the vet in a number of years – none of them have.  I just don’t like taking them there because it is so expensive and they don’t go outside, so I don’t think it is necessary.  Anyway, here are two pictures of him:  the first one is from “Dick’s” phone, the other from mine this morning:

Such a big cat!

Dick has a “Galaxy” phone.  It is really cool to use.  It has a big screen and all kinds of fun things on it.  He doesn’t know how to use it all that well.  It’s funny!  I put a picture of him on it so his picture comes through when he calls people – although I think that only works when you’ve added the picture to the “contact” in your own phone.  His camera is AWESOME!  Much better than mine on the iPhone 5c I have.  That is almost worth getting just for the camera.  I’m not sure I’d like to switch to that phone just for the camera though.  I’d hate to lose the stuff I have on my phone now that I’m used to.  It’s a big learning curve for a new phone and I guess I’ll need to stick to the iPhone.  But I am eyeing the iPhone 6.  I can get serious about that in October when my contract is over.

Well, I better get going.  Dick is coming over to finish the inside of the house today.  There is a “possibility” I’ll be called into work but I hope not.  I’m going to go in for my “Color me fit” class though at 2PM.  I have some homework to do before we get painting started so I’ll sign off now.  Have a great day!  Thanks for visiting!

What day is it?????????????

What day is it?????????????

I’m adding one final thought this morning:  This by Kurt Vonnegut:

“What I had to say to you, moreover, would not take long, to wit: Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.

Seriously! I mean starting right now, do art and do it for the rest of your lives.  Draw a funny or nice picture of Ms. Lockwood, and give it to her.  Dance home after school, and sing in the shower and on and on.  Make a face in your mashed potatoes.  Pretend you’re Count Dracula.”

I’m looking for an excuse to play now!

Super Bowl Ticket Prices: WOW! There IS a “listed price, ranging from $800-$1,200.Then the “ticket exchange (whatever that is) average price $4,337…Then there is the “highest prices” division $16,480 for ONE ticket. Sheeesh! And these are 2014 prices. 2015 are not computed yet.

Glad your team won, Mary–it was really a GREAT game, full of wonderfully played football, ruff-and-tuff.

And I’m wondering this morning that you must, MUST, begin feeding that starving cat, Domino. (The vet might suggest Nutrisystem©

Referring to Dick’s Galaxy “smartass” phone…it is mine also, Galaxy, but 2 years are up in June, and I’m READY for a newer one!

BTW Mary, thank you for “heads-up” it is helpful and appreciated.
    HAPPY DAY OFF!
