Hello World,
Wow – it’s already March! This is my 180th post. My home page tells me how many posts I’ve made. That is nice because I have no idea! I love this website “stuff”!
Dick sent me a couple of “before” and “after” pictures of Duncan so I’m putting them here side by side with my little
“table” tool:
They are so proud of Duncan. I’m glad they finally found a “groomer”. I wonder if Duncan cares about that? I haven’t been around dogs in years. Actually, not since my childhood have I had a dog. Remember this?
I guess when I “retire” I might get a dog. I’d be able to walk them then. Of course then the problem would be what kind of dog to get. My sense is that I’d need a dog that liked cats and vice versa and I’d like a dog that would like to ride in the car like Trigger did. I remember when I was little and mom would rattle her keys, he’d come running and hit the kitchen linoleum and slide into the chairs in the kitchen he was SO excited to go in the car. He’d put his head out the window and his ears would fly! So funny now that I think about it!
So yesterday I sent out a notice that the District Minutes would be on the website “shortly”. This morning they aren’t there. Errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Anyway, all in due time. But I received an email “suggesting” that I send them as an attachment for those members who aren’t particularly “savvy” with the internet. So of course, being the way I am, my first reaction was – no way! But upon further reflection, I realized that it was a good idea. So I woke up this morning fully intending to send them out to everyone, but my Earthlink account is doing maintenance on the address book all day today and I don’t have access to the address book. So I went into my Yahoo account and sent them to Jerry that way. I also put a “Link” to the website in the email. Yahoo allows you to add links. Earthlink doesn’t. I find that very strange, but until I started working on websites, I never knew about “links” and the little icon that was the “chain” for adding links. So when I sent the email to Jerry, the “link” added a picture of the website to the email – at least from my end. When it goes to other email types (aol, comcast, gmail) who knows what that looks like. I think I’ll TRY it today to see what happens. I copied the email to my Yahoo account and my Earthlink account, but I’ll send it to my “GMAIL” account and see what happens. This blog has the ability to “add” a link that way, but the “chains” are not “active”. I’ll have to Ask GARY about that. There are still a lot of things about WordPress I need to learn. All in due time :-)!
Well I need to get rolling now. I have the “Set Up” duty all by myself this morning plus I need to stop by Publix on my way to get Communion Bread, Grape Juice, Lemonade and Ice. Looking forward to a Wonderful Sunday!
Thanks for visiting!

Just checked weather, High in low 80ºs, low in mid 60ºs…for the WHOLE WEEK. How Boring! And how Flex and I love it. So is it March “in like a lamb–out like a lion”? More shall be revealed. (Now where have I heard THAT line?–grin!)
Duncan looks like a man I used to know in Cincinnati. Name? Duncan! Spent his mornings in the bar, and his afternoons…AND his evenings, until closing. How do I know this? (Shows you where I spent my hours!) I remember one time when opening the bar, I found him asleep in a booth, thought he was dead. He wasn’t. Only thirsty!
I loved dogs on the farm. They could roam the several hundred acres at will, always showed up at milking time (breakfast…and dinner!). Most loyal creatures…more than people, that’s for sure. Always about half dozen called the farm “home”. My favorite was a Collie named Lassie. Loved that one, she’d accompany me on my horse-riding overnights, back in the woods. So young, both of us. Wake up in morning under scout tent, SO hungry. MAD DASH the ½ mile back to the compound for breakfast. (I will add here-FACETIOUSLY–what a horrible, abusive childhood ;-)–actually a “dream” for most young boys!)
WOW, do I ever carry on here, feels so comfortable–on another’s blog…well. yours anyway, Mary, b/c you never complain. This IS a “comment” box, not a place for dissertations. HA! Who would know?
I gotta go. You also, have a GRAPE-ful Day, Mary–one which is worthy of Lots of Gratitude!

I can’t believe you had a Collie named Lassie long before there was the TV or Movie about Lassie. Did you forget to tell me you were a famous “Dog Trainer”?

My Lassie was named after movie “Lassie Come Home” (1943). However,my Lassie was a male…later learned SO WAS the Movie Lassie! www
