Good Morning World,
Today is COLD in Naples:
But it is still better than this:
I got a text from Steve this morning and it is too cold for him to ride FLEX:
Bill and Cathy are shaking it up in their RV. I sent a recipe to Cathy last night and she reminded me of their blog so I went there and lo and behold they are taking out my bed! Instead they have replaced it with a “temporary” desk area. I can relate to that. I not only have my “office/den” with a desk and couch and desktop computer, I also have my diningroom table that I use for my “alternate” desk and kitty sitting area! So let me see if I can get her pictures to show here as the transition – of course I could just tell you to go to their blog, but OH NO – let’s TRY IT!
Wow – that is going to be GREAT! And they will now look for sites that have beautiful views! Of course, I have a window in my den, but I never look out of it, but there is a little cubby hole that the cats like to squeeze into and look out the window when I’m at the desk. It’s funny – both Domino and Wylie like to do that – Metaxa just sits on the window sill (smart). So back to the RIG. Now my “bed” is gone! So we’ll have to come up with something else. They could get a single blow up mattress for me for when I come out. I slept on top of the couch the last time I was with them so a blow up mattress would be fine – put that on the list guys so you have one for me when I come out to Yellowstone! (Probably next year – going to Atlanta this year in July).
Yesterday was the day to take Domino to the vet. He has gotten so big that Jackie and I can’t handle him – he fights us and squirms out of “clipping” distance. I got a good idea from Steve about handling him though (thanks Steve). I first put the carrier in the den last week so I’d have it in the house for a while. Then I stood it up on it’s end and got a bath towel to wrap around him. I gathered him up and put him and the towel in the carrier. Easy Peasy! No fuss, no muss. It was so quick he didn’t know what happened! He was crying a little while going to the vet, but once I handed him over to them, he was quiet as a mouse. I never heard one “scream” from him. 10 minutes later he was handed back to me all done! AMAZING! The vet is just up the road – Jackie takes her cats there and I just learned that Steve takes his cat (Burt) there too! So now my kitties have a new doctor. It only cost $14. I was going to use the “mobile” vet that my neighbors use, but that was going to cost $65. So I left them a note saying I was going to take Dommie to the vet instead and I followed up with them with a business card from the Vet and told them it was only $14. So we’ll see if the vet gets another patient! So this is why Dommie is going to the vet now:
Funny thing – yesterday I posted on FB that I was taking Dommie in for a petticure and Beirne commented that he was a “FAT” cat! I responded that he was “Sturdy”, but really he is bigger than he needs to be, but how do you put a cat on a diet? You tell me!
Well time to get rolling. I hope you all have a beautiful day today! Thanks for visiting!

That “SNOW” photo above reminds me…and is typical of weather I might want to visit, but never again LIVE in. This short video http://www.weather.com/storms/winter/video/boston-digs-out-of-feet-of-snow …is about Boston’s ongoing “snow-year-2015”.
Interesting that Domino quieted down when introduced to new doctor office. Burt (Prob near 20 years old) raises hell. People there are SO gifted with kindness to animals AND owners. Nice! Glad you “found” it. (Like some of us”finding” God! When God was right there all the time–smiles!)
It is good for us humans to be looking forward to a future FUN trip or event like visiting with Bill and Cathy. (Is that in California?) It will keep you young far past “young” time, Mary! Never been to California. Prob won’t, There’s too much between here and there if I get “travel” urge…should say WHEN I get travel urge, LOL!
Again Mary, you prove here that pictures tell more about what a person does, how they live, etc., than any amount of words. Maybe that’s why we people like movies–don’t have to think, just visualize!
Well, as it turns out, it IS a riding day after all. And a meeting tonight.
COOOKIES!!!
Another BEAUTIFUL DAY in our Universe, in which we participate in a continuous act of creation–whatever that means. HA!
Thanks for posting. Always a fun few minutes for me…
Mary
