Hello World,
Today is Teri L’s 12th AA Anniversary. I remember when she walked into the Brown Bag for the first time. She has remained a member of the BB I believe. I have a little app on my phone that gives me reminders of AA anniversaries and when I wake up the notice is there so that is how I know. You have to put in your friends and their anniversary dates but I think it’s a free app. It’s called:
It also has the Big Book on it, Meditations, Friends, Prayers, Principals, Promises, Preamble, Settings, Meditation Settings, Maintenance and Problems. It is really a cool app.
I just went to FB and saw this guy on Ellen DeGeneres Show:
What he does with an iPad is amazing. I also found out that Ellen has her own TV thing too named “Ellentube”. What – Really????? Anyway, I shared it on my timeline too. It’s really cool! Every time I open something up on my laptop (or phone or anything) that makes noise – Domino freaks! He bats at it and he walks all over the key board etc. It really annoys him – so funny!
Last night I jumped out of bed with a huge cramp in my leg so I had to “walk it off” and while I was out in the kitchen walking it off, the smoke alarm went off! It was a HUGE NOISE and very annoying, so this morning I got the ladder from the garage and climbed up to the shelf and disarmed it:
I’m sure the neighbors heard it! And I just changed the battery. So much for this smoke alarm – I think the cats are still skittish about it this morning!
It’s still cold in Naples: 48 this morning and not getting much higher than 57 today! I’m definitely taking my sweatshirt to work today! I was freezing all day yesterday.
I really don’t like the cold, but it’s great for my electric bill. I bet my bill won’t be much over $50 this month. Gotta love that!
I’ve been “in training” all week at work that I didn’t know about so things are a little upside down for me this week. It’s a new system for “admissions” and I think it’s going to be pretty cool, but a lot of it hasn’t got to do with our place at Orchid Terrace. So I’m there in body but not in spirit. I have a bunch of stuff I need to do and it’s not getting done. I did get the schedule posted and that is a miracle. I’ll find out today whether it’s ok or not. Lots of people want the same time off – Spring Break – so it gets very difficult. I wish they’d come up with some kind of decent software for our schedule. It is such a pain to do. The training has been frustrating because the equipment (computers) have been freezing up and not working. The trainer is a little “annoying”, and I can’t be sure this is going to work or not. The other thing is that our “caretracker” system that just got installed about a year ago is “going away”. Now that is really a shame because it is pretty simple to use and it seems to be going well with our “computer phobic” partners – there are a LOT of them believe it or not and if this new system goes on line – it’s going to be difficult to manage. Ugh! Oh well……….this too shall pass.
Out of time today. I hope everyone has a great day today! Thanks for visiting!

I feel your pain regarding the schedule! The best thing about being the campground manager is I can delegate the work schedule to my Front Office Manager. All I have to do is approve it. But I served my time…I was Front Office Manager for 3 years. Do people really need days off??? Just kidding……

But Cathy, do they really need the SAME day(s) off?
Just kidding……..

Right now, I’m going to put Teri’s Anniversary date in my new app ODAAT. HA! Yes, I “tried” it and considered well worth the $1.99. So I also put it on “Little Bit” (another $1.99) It might save carrying those books everywhere I go. (I know yours is in July, Mary. But….what?)
I wonder how many people would know how Simon Pierro pulled off that marvelous magic on his iPAD? Well… I sure don’t.
Unfu***********able!!!
Yup, those cramps. I get them sometimes–so bad I’d gladly accept on-the-spot death. HOWEVER Mary, when jumping around for relieve I never once in 81 years set off a fire alarm–grin! Did it make your cram go away? Might have a product there–retire, and let the alarms awaken the neighbors. Let’s see, at $45.00 a pop…hmmmm.
Thank for the entertainment blog today, and for the alert.

I laughed and laughed at your referral to setting off the fire alarm – still laughing! Thanks for starting my day off so well! My anni date is 7/22/2002. Yours is: 3/18/74 according to ODAAT.
