Hello Everyone,
So go to Google today. On their home page they have “The First Day of Fall” and it is really cute. I love it when they do those little things on Google. I tried to copy it so I could put it in my blog today, but I didn’t seem to do it right and I’m not sure you can do it anyway.
So I was thinking about my friends Kelly and Luis who rode down to Key West on their Harley to celebrate Luis 40th Birthday. I guess it is “Bike Week” down there. Anyway, Luis told me once that Kelly can fall asleep on the back of his motorcycle while they are travelling. I started to think about that and I wondered if that could really happen. I’d be afraid that I’d lean over too far and fall off, or at least cause the bike to go down – but a Harley is pretty big and so is Luis, so it probably wouldn’t happen, but all the same. Here is a picture of them on their Harley……
So I’ve been saying I want to clean out my gutters and so yesterday, I decided to contact a guy that helps me around my house a little. He is a handyman and has cleaned my gutters before. So I thought I would ask him to help me do it for the first time and then I could do it myself going forward. Anyway, I scrolled through my contacts and call the number I had, but it was “out of order” but there was an email address so I decided he must have gotten a new phone number so I emailed him. Well this morning, I had an email from “Paul” and it was the guy who sold me my condo – so funny! I know the guy’s name is Paul, but it is Paul Murphy not Paul Daniels. Anyway, it was nice hearing from him and I’m glad he commented back to me. At least now I know to call Paul Murphy for the help. I told Paul Daniels that I LOVE his/my condo and that it is great living here. I sent him a picture of the “blue” wall and told him I want to change out the flooring to a more “kitty” friendly floor.
He moved up to Pennsylvania to be closer to family after his wife died. He had kept this place so nice over the years. He was the first owner, I’m the second. I am so glad it is in such good shape. I’d like to change out the kitchen counters and cabinets and do the same in the bathrooms, but that is a project for when I’m not working any longer and have time to “supervise” that type of thing. I’ve decided that will be my “retirement”. All it takes is MONEY! So how do you know you have the money to do that type of thing anyway? A couple of weeks ago when I was having my car issue and afraid I was going to need a new car, I figured it would cost a minimum of about $25K to get the kind of car I’d want that would REALLY be my last car. But since Rose is now a “new” car kinda, she’ll last me for a while. Anyway, I contacted my “financial guy” and he said he’d give me a call last week to talk about it, but I haven’t heard from him, although I did tell him that I wasn’t needing a “new car” any longer and I’m sure he was glad to hear that. Anyway, it will start a conversation the next time I see him to figure out how I can do stuff like that in “retirement”.
Well, that’s about all the time I have right now. I may come back later today and write some more. We’ll see.
Have a wonderful day!

Riding preference for me is either solo (long trip) or with small group (short trip), but usually alone as Flex IS my transportation. I don’t like attending “bike weeks”. (Of course as you might guess, I’ve never BEEN to one–grin!) …is there something I should remember about “..contempt prior to investigation”??
So it’s “clean-out-the-gutter” time. We don’t have gutters, but DO have a moat with ducks! (I lie!) I remember a farmhand whose nickname was Mr. Gutterstink. I won’t say why on your blog–grin!
EVERYONE should have a “financial guy”. Reminds me, got to do taxes (due last April 15th) because extension runs out October 15. How did October get so close??? (sigh)
If your Tuesday is going smoothly, I’m glad for you. If not, it will soon be history. Ride safe, Mary!
