Good Morning Wednesday, December 3, 2014

Hello world!

Anybody miss me yesterday?  I got all tied up with doing a calendar for The Grapevine and other “stuff”.  Never got a chance to do my “blog”.  That’s gonna happen.   I had a busy day yesterday at work.  Two of our “admin” staff are away on vacation.  It takes a toll.  There are less people to handle the daily issues that come up and it’s really stressful.  I finished the Christmas/New Year schedules and posted them as I was leaving yesterday.  My printer at work is not working correctly because I need a new Magenta cartridge so I had to send the color schedule down to the far end of the building in order to have it done in “color”.  I must have walked down there 10 times yesterday.  I should have worn my pedometer to count my steps.  I’m going to wear my pedometer today so I can see how many steps I do.  I’m sure I’ll get close to 10,000 steps today.  Speaking of “walking”.  I was looking at an email I get from “Hungry Girl” and it was talking about “housewalking”.   It also mentioned a wristband from “Fitbit” that monitors all of your daily workouts and sends the info to an app.  It’s $99.95 – I was a little “shocked” by that, but I’ll consider it as a gift to myself.  Don’t know if I’ll get one of those, but it does come in “Grape” color (well violet – but close).  I posted the link on FB to see if I get any feedback on the thing.  Might be a good Birthday present to myself.

My brother and sister-in-law are coming to visit.  Here they are:

I love these two!

I love these two!

They do a lot of walking on trails etc., where they are “camped”.  They are coming to “the swamp” on the 13th.  They haven’t seen my new home yet, so that will be exciting to show them.  They may even spend the night.  There might be a plan to drive over to Westin to visit with Jon and Ale, but maybe they’ll come here instead since they are all “retired” and I’m still working.  Anyway, we’ll see about that.  Dick and Doug are coming around soon too.  It might be a “mini” reunion of some sort.  We’ll see.

So yesterday we had some emails flying around with my “church family” about a space possibility.  It’s a steel frame 5000 square foot building that would need to be gutted and redesigned.  It’s at 2360 Shadowlawn Drive.  It used to house a sports tee shirt business.  (Sign is still on the building).  Anyway, it’s right down the street from Shadowlawn Elementary, Bread of Life Church, East Naples Baptist Church and there we’d be – another church.  So it’s something to consider.  I’m thinking it might be a good fit and we could “partner” with those churches on “outreach”.  The plus side is that it is “zoned” for a church which some of the other places we’ve seen aren’t.   We’ve already established a weekend “feeding” program in Naples Park so that might be difficult to manage.  I don’t know – I guess we’ll leave it in God’s hands and things will work out as they should.  It would be considerably closer to me and others in the church that live in my neighborhood.  Some of our people from Bonita Springs might not like the drive.  It will be interesting to see how it goes.  More shall be revealed.

Tonight is “elections” at Intergroup.  This will be an interesting meeting.  The voting might take a while.  I don’t have a vote which is probably good.  I hope we get a “packed” room.  More shall be revealed!

Gotta get going.  Have a beautiful day today!

Guess I AM a “quitter”?? Been trying for an hour to get your calendar transferred to this comment space…and it REFUSES to be renamed, re-shot, emailed, mashed, ground up into bitsy pieces–it is behaving like an angry cat with a resentment–grin!

But it is a work of art, I can say that much. And after all, even though art is fun, it IS work. 5% inspiration, 96% perspiration. If that equals 101%…ya got it right!

You will certainly enjoy your family visitors next week–and they will also. When people visit me, I take that as being honored by them, so special it all is…reuniting with those you truly love.

That is good, to leave the church issue in God’s Hands, so long as people ARE doing the work searching, calculating, “seeing” future grown in years to come. Churches often do real good when placed near OTHER churches…just like cafes, bars, used car lots, etc. Like you say, opportunities to grow together.

Not sure why PDF’s don’t work as “media” on Word Press. Can be frustration. I have a program on my computer that does stuff like that. I added the Victor E and Grapeman plus the stars around the dates. It’s fun to do and I like doing that.
