Good Morning Wednesday, January 21, 2015

Good Morning Everyone,

So this morning Richard Rohr wrote about:

If you would learn more, ask the cattle,

Seek information from the birds of the air.

The creeping things of earth will give you lessons,

And the fishes of the sea will tell you all.

There is not a single creature that does not know

That everything is of God’s making.

God holds in power the soul of every living thing,

And the breath of every human body.

-Book of Job 12:7-10

That is the second devotional I’ve had this morning indicating that nature is something to cherish and to take part in everyday.  The other one was the Daily Message from Hazelden speaking about being in the woods and appreciating all of your surroundings and not just the “inside of your home”.  That makes me realize that my trip to the Botanical Gardens is really something I should do more often.  I’ve started walking the “Greenway” also since it is such a nice motorcycle ride from home.  So I now have 2 destinations to go to on RED.  One is “FREE” and one costs $80 a year.  If I go every week to the Botanical Gardens, I’ll get my money’s worth!  So that is another thing I can admire in Bill and Cathy since their life is surrounded by nature and that for them it is an everyday occurrence.  For Steve too, he is surrounded by nature because he rides “FLEX” everyday all day long and when I ride RED, it makes me appreciate my surroundings, not only because it is safer!

So my pictures of the Botanical Gardens just got a little more important to me.  Here is one of “the wall” long before it was finished like it is now.  I took a long distance picture of it the other day:

That Ceramic Wall is really beautiful and a wonderful “photo op” destination.  I see lots of people having their pictures taken there!  But walking the gardens is really a spiritual experience.  I’ll try to get there this weekend.  Probably Sunday after church.  I love it that it is open 7 days a week!

SO – I’m thinking that perhaps I’ll do this BLOG only a couple of times a week now, rather than everyday.  I get busy in the mornings doing other things for Church and AA Committee work etc.  Not to mention checking in to FB to find out about birthdays etc and what my friends are up to.

I got my W2 this morning.  So I guess I’ll do my taxes this weekend also.  All I need to do for that is fill out the packet from Tony G. and send it in.  I need to get my church statement though, before I can do the taxes, so maybe next week instead.  Dick is coming over on Saturday and we’re going to “prep” the wall for painting.  I spoke with Roy yesterday and I think he’ll do the other walls for us.  It will be nice to have people I trust in the house.  Bill has been using Roy to help him at his house.  But I’m in no rush.  One day at a time.  I can live with things a different color for a while.  But I know, that once one thing is painted, the other things will look “drab” and need painting too.  Polly gave me a good idea to paint her garage.  I may want to do that.  I remember Pat painting his garage BLUE down in Old Naples when I lived there and it was so nice!  I can do that since it doesn’t need to be “perfect”!

Well time to go to work!  Have a beautiful day and I’ll leave you with this today:  “WHAT DAY IS IT?”

You’re right about nature…how can anyone look at the beauty and say there is no God? Don’t stress out over your blog…post when you want to. That’s what I do now. Have a great Wednesday!

I sure agree with Cathy, post when you want–I figured you already “do” that–grin!!!! Can I get a quick text on “post” day?–sort of a “loyalty” bonus? OR…just write on FB that your blog is “up”.

LIKE those RR dailies this week. We “studied” page 49-53 in
De Mello book this morning..Good stuff, also…(There is SO MUCH “good stuff” to read, contemplate, meditate, everywhere.
Guess each can pick and choose…there was a time many of us could not DO that!

You in no rush to complete painting jobs. Whenever I used to be “in no rush”, it would turn out that by the time everything was painted inside and out, it was time to start over again–hee-hee

What DAY is it, you ask? I have NO IDEA. HmmmmmP…..
