Good Morning Wednesday, November 5, 2014

Good Morning Everyone,

So our governor is Rick Scott again, Medical Marijuana was defeated, and John Morgan is a tad poorer today.  My sister-in-law will not be happy about Rick Scott.  She lives in Tallahassee and sends out bad karma on him all of the time.  Could she be a Democrat?  Parish the thought!  :-)!  Anyway, Florida out spent all other states during this election cycle – it was on FB – gotta be true!  So it goes.  It was funny though, Bev made a comment to me something to the effect:  “Your “homeboy” is coming home” – related to Rick Scott having a home in Naples and losing the election to Charlie Crist.  I commented back:  “Maybe, maybe not”.  Funny how things work out.

I’ve always enjoyed watching the election returns on TV, but this time, I went out to dinner with Dick and Doug.  We went to “Bravo” at the Mercato.  It was really good food.  There was a bit of a problem with the assistant server slamming down the plates on our table and rushing us that set the boys off.  They commented to our main server and she ended up buying us dessert “on the house”.  That was nice too.  I had the salmon with sweet potatoes – eating healthy – but lost all I gained by eating every last bite of the bread pudding with ice cream.  I ate every morsal – the boys must have thought I was a homeless person that hadn’t eaten in a week the way I scarfed down my food.  Oh well, don’t get out much!

So they have now bought a place in “Tarpon Cove” off of Wiggins Pass Road.  It is right across the street from where they had a condo in Wiggins Bay.  It is a nice neighborhood, although it was dark by the time we got there.  Their place is like a floor plan I saw when I was looking for a place to move.  They are on the second floor so they have to walk up stairs to their front door and then there are stairs up to the apartment.  My thinking when I was looking was that I didn’t like the “stairs” so I wanted a place on the first floor or just a one floor condo like I have.  Plus they only have that “one car” garage and I prefer my bigger garage.  Also, they can’t get into their place through the garage.  There is a door to their steps from the garage and if it is raining, they will get wet, although it is covered.  However, since they will be “snowbirds” that rain issue should be minimal.  I’m sure the place will be a “show place” when they are finished with it.  It has that same beautiful “tile” floor that looks like wood.  I think they get that from Home Depot.  I may try to do something like that at my place “one day”.  It’s nice that they have the money to fix their place up nicely before they move in.  I’m wondering if it will be ready for them at the first of December – there is a lot to do, but apparently the people who bought their Wiggins Pass place are not going to be using it for a while so they have a place to stay when they are here “supervising”.  It takes a good 40 minutes for me to drive to their place from my place.  That is really something showing how big this town is.

Well I had to get up early this morning, I want to stop by Walmart on my way to work to buy cookies for our “bake sale” tomorrow at work.  We’re raising funds for the Alzheimer’s Association.  There is always something to do at work beside “work”.  Sometimes I think we do too much, but it is what it is.  I’ll leave you with another picture I adore:

Maybe we’ll get to see Dick & Doug when we’re down there…that would be fun.

Yes, they should be back here the first part of December. Their new place is cool. I think a “ROAD TRIP” to Westin is in the cards. They have plenty of rooms, but I’d rather go over and come back the same day – but we’ll see what happens. Love it that you’ll be here SOON!

There must be a reason what Jon Morgan donated all the money to his favorite “charity-of-the-month”. After ALL, he IS “FOR THE PEOPLE…right?

Actually our Rick Scott and wife contributed $13.5 million to his campaign. I gotta wonder “what” in winning is worth $13+ million?
First time elected he gave salary–all except ONE CENT–back to the state. So I figure he’s not a “SHOW ME THE MONEY” guy.
    (sigh)

Just so happy that votes tended to go our way last night, I could only thank God this morning–although I suspect God doesn’t care much about U.S. elections WHICH way they go–grin!

Picture is a “cat’s meow”. And IT just climbed above my other fav, by a few % points.

Happy IG meeting tonight, I intend to be there…lurking!.
