Ms. Days Ease RV Life #84

Today is Thursday, January 23, 2020. It is really foggy this morning, First time I’ve seen this in Arizona!

It is so exciting to do things “for the first time”! Looking at fog is one of those things! It’s cold outside today at 36 degrees.

I’ve been sucked into the Impeachment coverage. It really has been interesting. Plus you have to admit it is History in the making. I believe that Adam Schiff is quite the orator. His final argument last night was amazing. Spoke of courage! I’m intrigued by the way they are weaving in tweets, emails, text messages, videos from all of the “players”. I heard this morning that President Trump has sent out 140 tweets since he got back to the states from Europe. Now in my mind, that’s a bit of a person who is ranting and then that just gives me the creeps! So this happened during the coverage:

I got my last box yesterday that I sent to myself. I got my electric toothbrush and this………

I am listening to “John Denver” Radio. I also love to have ALEXA add things to my shopping list. That way I have everything on my phone and I don’t forget the “list” when I go to the store. I didn’t think leaving it in my house in Naples was such a great idea so I brought her out here. The sound of the little speaker is just perfect for Daisy. And when I get tired of playing Alexa I always have my blu-tooth speaker.

Yesterday Brad Wilson stopped by to look at Daisy for her bath and waxing. He took a few moments to look around and test a few places. So I’m thinking, this will probably be more than I want to spend. He used to live in an RV Park behind Safeway for a few years. That place is RIGHT NEXT TO THE TRAINS – I don’t know how those people ever sleep. The first thing I added to my list by ALEXA was earplugs! I’m going to try them although I’m getting a little more used to the trains now. He used to work as an administrator in an Assisted Living Facility! So already I liked him. He was so nice. He said that he found some land and moved out there and now his wife won’t come into town – she likes it out there so much. It’s funny, Bill and Cathy have shown me some alternate routes to keep out of “traffic”. But when I drive, it seems I’m the only one on the road – very different than being in Naples where the traffic has become so bad! I love it! Anyway, Brad said I needed to pay him in “cash” because they don’t use banks any longer! So the total cost will be $200!!!!! I couldn’t say “yes” fast enough! So Daisy will be “all prettied up” on Tuesday, February 18th. I am so excited! I signed up for a “rally” over the weekend of Valentines Day, but I’m on the “waiting list” so we’ll see what happens.

Today I’m going to be interviewed by Kyle over the phone for volunteering at Kartchner. I was planning to go for a walk this morning, but it’s a little cold and still foggy so I’m sticking around Daisy.

I was planning to watch the movie last night – Downton Abbey. But I was too ensconced in the Impeachment Trial. I watched it all day and it begins again today at 1PM – 11 here! This is a picture of the clubhouse:

Seeing those chairs, I see why they suggest you bring comfortable chairs for movies. Those chairs get awfully hard after an hour. I’m still trying to determine if there is an AA meeting here. I guess I’ll need to go to “Happy Hour” to find that out. They have Happy Hour here everyday at 4PM. It is either at the Clubhouse or Founders Park:

While I’m uploading the video – it’s really SLOW! My neighbor here – Dody – is getting out of her leaseholder status. She said she is tired of RVing – 25 years – and is moving back to Denver. They are “lifting” her Casita so it can be put in the pool. I’ll be interested in seeing what the Casita looks like. I like this location, but I think I would like to be in the other section – not sure. Let me see if I can get a picture of the park layout:

I am in site 257 which is in the area to the right. It overlooks the Office. I think I would like to be in the other area closer to the Clubhouse. But I was looking at the costs and it is cheaper if you go in a “year” long or “6 month” site.

Just had my interview with Kyle. Now there is a background check that must be done and then I’ll need to offer him 3 references. I think I’ll call Lily and ask her. I’ll ask Bill Strenkert and then Bill Bass.
