Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors! It is Thursday, April 16, 2020. Yesterday was “TAX DAY” and I got my stimulus check along with my 40th Social Security check so it was a great day to be an American yesterday and everyday really! Thank you President Trump and Congress! It will come in handy since apparently I did not have the movers pack up my ladder from the garage so I need to buy one today. Back to ACE Hardware. Love that little place. Plus I need a trash can for the kitchen that has a lid on it since I don’t have a garage to take out the daily garbage to, it will remain in the kitchen.
I have been having a blast setting up this new home! I’ve opened a ton of boxes and the guy, Bubba, (really that was his name) who came to work on my water issues is going to take the boxes away. He was supposed to pick them up yesterday at the end of the day, but didn’t come for them. I hope he comes today and hasn’t changed his mind!
I have found so much “stuff” that I really love! It’s been great. Set this up first thing: After opening a box with sweet surprises in it! It’s like Christmas each time a box is opened!

Every time I go to a place on vacation I look for a magnet. I thought I would try to do that in Daisy, but the fridge in Daisy doesn’t hold magnets. So I started putting stickers on her, but was told that if I ever want to sell her, they will all need to be removed, so I started buying patches and I’ve put them up with command strips. Here is what Daisy’s refrigerator looks like:
One of the first things that Joann wanted to “clean up” was the fridge – too much personal stuff on it. But I’m never leaving this place alive so the next seller will need to take the stuff off. At least they are all magnets – no stickers. I know it looks “busy” but it’s MY busy!
I went into Daisy yesterday and turned off the fridge. I’m getting her ready for “storage” at my home. I need to fix her tire and also the 12 Volt connection in the Jeep for the BLUE OX towing system, the tire guys said they can do both – fix the tire and fix the Jeep, so tomorrow at 2PM she goes in for a work out. I’m thinking it may be the first time I hook up the Jeep and pull it behind Daisy. I’m already thinking about how I’ll do that. Time will tell! It is pretty scary – but my philosophy now is – others do it so I can too. As it turned out, I didn’t need to have the Jeep there to fix the 12 Volt – Whew!
So I found the missing shirt yesterday based on this picture at New Attitudes Club – I thought it was lost somehow!
Here it is!
Love that shirt – we’re going to wear them tomorrow for the 8AM Zoom Meeting. At least we’re going to try.
I also found this important thing yesterday too:
This is in the laundry room just through the door from the carport. It’s such a habit I’ve formed from the Naples place. First thing I do is take my shoes off and hang up my keys and purse. Old habits die hard!
So in my place in Naples, I had a “cork” wreath that I made that was made from all of the wine corks I collected when I was drinking. It hung over the old phone outlet that held the wall phone back in the day. So I used it to collect little tchotchkes – definition: NOUN (informal) 1. a small object that is decorative rather than strictly functional; a trinket. 2. a pretty girl or woman! So I dumped that before I moved but saved some of the trinkets so this is what I’m doing with them now:
I know it’s a little dark, but I think you can get the picture. Of course, I have to share my chair with Metaxa while blogging today. She is so funny and pretty stubborn. She is NOT giving up her space on the chair. I love her!
Well, I’m going to go take a shower to see if they fixed my “issue” yesterday. Before, when I took a shower it took 5 minutes to get the hot water to come out of the shower and it is right beside the water heater. When they put my house and Bill’s an another neighbor in, they ran the waterline out to the street and it looped back to the house, so the water needed to run out there and then back to the house, so thus it took 5 minutes to get into the shower. What a waste of water! So Bubba fixed it yesterday – I hope. Will try it and let you know! I’ll be back with more pictures! Shower is all fixed. I may change out the shower head one day because the pressure is pretty weak.
This is how I did these plaques. Very different from Naples. And so it goes!
This is how my counter looks. It is a little cluttered, but I think I’ll get used to it. Maybe – maybe not. We’ll see:
Next, I have this:
I did this in Naples on the chandelier that I had in the kitchen that I never used because I never got a little “eating table”. People would come in and bump their heads on it unless I warned them. At least now there is a table under the chandelier!
Going to end now – time has gotten away from me and I want to take a shower and go to ACE. So, see you next time. Thanks for visiting! Stay safe!
