Ms. Days Ease RV Life #137 5/1/20

Happy May Day COVID-19 Warriors.  Today is Friday, May 1, 2020.  It’s beautiful here in Arizona, but it’s even cooler in Naples this morning than it is here.  I’ve gone to my 8AM (5AM here) meeting with my buddies from NAC at Morning Reflections.  It was a great meeting – as they all are.  Tonight, I’ll skip my home group to go to the Comes Of Age meeting at 7pm (4PM my time) to support Betsy.  She’ll be the speaker.  It will be good to see that group tonight.  Then I’m going to Bill and Cathy’s for dinner – Grilled Bratwurst and sauerkraut.   I’m sure it will be amazing as usual!

The other day I was welcomed into the neighborhood:

It has apples, oranges, Mini Oreos, Trail Mix, 2 washclothes & Chocolate.  It came in a plastic bowl which will really come in handy – it’s a great size.  Very nice – the people here are really friendly!

So Bill and Cathy got their “marching orders”.  They are leaving for Yellowstone around the 13th of May.   Bill needs to start his job on the 21st and Cathy starts in mid June.   It will be fun to follow their adventures while I oversee their house!  It’s made me think about doing my own camping.  I have an appointment for Daisy to be cleaned on the 18th so after that time, I’ll probably go to Cottonwood, AZ to the Thousand Trails park that is there.  It is the only one I can use in Arizona and is a little north of Phoenix about 5 hours from here.  I’ll tow the JEEP so I can adventure out.  It will be fun to get back on the road with Daisy, OTIS2 and Metaxa!

Got this video from Harvest Hosts – gives me an idea of what I can look forward to when I go camping and exploring:

I’m adding to this today, Saturday, May 2, 2020.  Last night we had dinner at Bill and Cathy’s – Rich was there – he shaved his beard!  They are getting ready to go to Yellowstone.  They are all very excited.  I may do it “next” year.  We’ll see how that goes.  It would be fun to be out there when they are out there.  But maybe I’ll just travel out there and visit with them.

So the flamingos are keeping the neighborhood safe!  I love that they light up.  I wonder how long they stay on?  Probably not going to find out.

So I’ve been thinking about putting my Clam Tent on the porch so I can let Metaxa outside a little.  It would be cheaper than screening in the porch.  But I think I still want to screen in the porch.  I’d like to let Metaxa enjoy the outside.  Right now, I sit out on the porch with the window open into the house where Metaxa sits and looks out, but it would be nice if she could come out with me.  I know she would love it!

Here it is on the lanai in Naples.  I could do it for a while until I got the screen people here.  I could also put it under the carport.  There is a guy down the road that has one next to his 5th Wheel.  I should ask him about it next time I go by to take my trash to see if it’s a pain with the big winds around here.  I should be able to tie it down on the porch.  It would be something to do and I’m not so sure I would set it up when I was out camping.  I also have the shade tent I could add to the campsite if I wanted to, but the awning on Daisy does most everything I need – now that I don’t need to worry about mosquitoes any longer – at least where we are now.

Thought you’d like this:

Today may be the day to move Daisy out and hook up OTIS2 all by myself.  Think I can do it?  We’ll see:

I might get motivated to do that, now that all my pictures are up on the walls.  I still need to put my “plaques” up in the den.  Not sure when that will happen.
