Ms. Days Ease RV Life #142 5/14/20

Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors!  Today is Thursday, May 14, 2020.  It is the day that Bill and Cathy are leaving for YNP (Yellowstone).  Yesterday we sat and I pumped them for all of the doctors and dentists and hair stylists and everything else I could think of that I needed before they left.  It’s a long list!  So now I’m waiting for them to “hook up” and take off.  Gonna take a video so you can see them take off!

It’s been amazing moving out here and they have been a “driving force” for this.  LOOK AT THAT BACKGROUND!  They have had such a wonderful life with this RVing “stuff”!  I was busy doing my thing in Naples and they just continued to live this incredible life.  I have a lot of “catching up to do”.  They gave me this to learn what’s out there in the great state of Arizona!

I’ve made my first reservation to go camping for 5 days in June.  June 8 to 12th.  I am going to a Thousand Trails campground in Cottonwood, AZ.  It is the only TT campground that is available to me in AZ.

Google Map:

So the beauty of Thousand Trails is that I stay there for no $$.  I’m connected to Bette & Suzan and I can go to the TT Campgrounds that have the “brown” icon on it.  There is only one in AZ but there are MANY in California.  I have other memberships that allow me to stay overnight for free with Boondockers Welcome and Harvest Hosts.  And then again there are many KOA’s available, but they are not free.  I’ve found that most private campgrounds have fees of $30 to $50 a night.  B & C are staying in one on their way to YNP and it’s $60, but still cheaper than flying and staying in an hotel – plus you’re surrounded by your own things – bed, toilet, TV, DVD player, shower, microwave, fridge, freezer, table, Ford Truck, bike rack, JEEP, bike, the list is endless – clothes, jackets – you get the picture!

I just watched a YouTube video by the RV Geeks that have started a TV Show called The RVers which is on The Discovery Channel and it’s in their 2nd Season – it starts on Saturday – and they are signed up for 5 years and they will be interviewing RVers and they’ll have other segments all about living in an RV.  I’ve learned so much about this world by watching YouTube videos – that is why I don’t need local TV.  I can definitely keep myself entertained by watching Netflix, Amazon Prime & YouTube on my SMART TV.  Plus there are many other things on that TV that are “free” – but standard TV isn’t necessary – I certainly don’t need to talk about the latest segment of The Voice or the Masked Singer (Although I love both of those shows).  I have so much more to learn about RVing and JEEPING.  Never got a chance to learn how to drive my JEEP in 4WD so I guess I’ll just need to wait until B & C come back in November to learn how to do that.

So this happened today:

So they are OFF!  3 days and they’ll be at YNP!  So excited for them.  My plan is to move DAISY down to their property because it will be easier to get going with her.  Not sure when I’ll do that – it’s a project for another day, but maybe today.  They said they would call if they forgot something so 10 minutes into their trip:

They just got a water softener this year and they forgot to unplug it – it wasn’t “on the list” so I went right down and unplugged it so I wouldn’t forget!   They have been so great with me during this transition, I’m so happy I can help them now.  It’s a great life!

So that’s about it for today.  It’s only 8:30 AM and lot’s has happened.  Started out with a 7AM meeting in Naples – so that was 4AM here so I’ve been up for a while.  Ralph spoke – it was super!  47 people were on ZOOM.  Many without cameras – about half & half.  Not sure I’ll make it to that meeting again, but wanted to support Ralph.

Thanks for visiting!  Remember:  Be Calm. Be True, Be Quiet!
