Ms. Days Ease RV Life #149 6/3/20

Good Morning all of you wonderful COVID-19 Warriors!  It is Wednesday, June 3, 2020 and America is having a bit of a breakdown right now.  People are demonstrating in the streets of our major cities and also small towns.  I read about a demonstration going bad in Naples, Florida.  I’m in shock about that!  Nothing has happened here in the wild, wild, west of Benson, AZ and I’m truly happy about that.  I’m just praying for peace and unity and our president is not helping to soothe the American people.  God bless America!  I’m watching “Designated Survivor” on Netflix and sometimes it gets a little too crazy but it does say a lot about having a good, honest, caring president who leads us through crises rather than being a self absorbed ego maniac looking for photo ops!  Okay enough of that!

I’m getting ready to go camping next Monday.  I’m going to Cottonwood, AZ.  Here is the map – I know I put it in my last blog……

I think I may take the longer way back home through the Tonto National Forest.  I won’t deviate from the highway on the way up because I want to be sure to get to the RV Campground before dark.  I’m planning to leave around 8AM on Monday.  Going to Safeway today to buy my food because I get a 10% Senior discount on the first Wednesday of the month!

Here is a picture of me filling my water tank at my home the other day:

That was one of the days that I was practicing with OTIS2.  I think I feel pretty confident that I know how to set up the towbar and pull the Jeep behind me.  I can see it through the bathroom window in the rearview mirror and as I take curves, I can see it in the side mirrors.  That is one thing that B & C can’t do when they tow their Jeep behind their truck camper – not rearview mirror view.  Speaking of Bill and Cathy:

They had to dig out their fire pit.  Look at all of that snow behind them!  I’m sure it’s still snowing up there!  Wow!

I just went out to check on Daisy’s refrigerator and it is running like a champ.  So now I can go to the store and stock her up!  Yay!

Took this sweet picture of Metaxa yesterday on the porch in the camp chair!

SO Suzan and Bette found a “stray” cat in their yard.  They determined after handling it for a while that it was about 6 months old and had already had a litter of kittens.  They think it was just “dropped” off and wasn’t a feral because it was so sweet.  They didn’t think they wanted to keep it because they already had 3 male cats and 2 dogs.  So I told them I would take her but that we would need to travel together to make a “hand off”.  The cat was at the vet getting spayed so I canceled my trip to Cottonwood and changed plans to meet up with them at Ft. Stockton.  After they thought about it, they decided they wanted to keep Lillie (I would have spelled it Lily), so I again made my reservations for Cottonwood (same dates were available).  But they sent me pictures of her and she is beautiful:

I think she is adorable!  Here is another picture of her meeting David Bowie for the first time:

It’s going to be interesting to see her acclimate into the home.  Makes me wonder if I want to get another cat for Metaxa to have as a friend.  I think she is happy as a “one cat” family, but who knows.  I kind of like the fact that I only have one cat and she is content eating just hard food.  That is a blessing!

So that is about it for today.  Thanks for visiting.  Remember:  Be Calm, Be True, Be Quiet!
