Good morning COVID-19 Warriors! Today is Wednesday, July 8, 2020. I am driveway camping in Daisy this morning. I got the idea from Bette & Suzan! It’s already about 90 & it’s 9 AM. Feels like Naples but no humidity which is nice! I’m starting this blog with my iPad but will probably finish it inside with my computer. I have the A/C on & I’m listening to The Cave FM – the local radio station. Love this! Took a video this morning inside Daisy:
Oops! Pasted the wrong thing. Be back with video:
I’ve been keeping myself busy at home. I do get bored at times, but I’m learning to meditate when that happens! I am using the 10% Happier App. Then when that doesn’t work, I listen to my books on Audible. I finally got my Library card yesterday & downloaded a book. I have plenty to read, but that usually puts me to sleep. I’ll need to sit up & read-lying on the couch doesn’t quite work.
Here is the completion of my window project:
Next I put it in my bathroom window:
And finally, this is how much of the reflexics I have left:
Used up most of the roll. It worked out great! So happy I had enough to do all of the windows!
So I purchased the coolest thing the other day! It’s a pizza cooker!
I’ve discovered these GREAT pizzas out here. The cauliflower crust is so good! I feel like I’m eating healthy with these pizzas. Probably not, but just look at how delicious these are!
I added the black olives on it. So fantastic! But of course I ate the whole thing! Ugh! Oh well!
I just turned the A/C off – it’s 72 in here! I’m going to try to see how long it stays cool in here. This is fun! It’s 10 AM right now. I’ll let you know what I find happens!
I spoke with Suzanne (Art’s daughter) & she said I could use the sewer connection down by the office to rinse my black tank in Daisy. The last time I dumped (near Denver) there wasn’t any water. My indicator is still showing 3/4 full. I know that is wrong, but I’ll do that one of these days.
I spoke to Susan from Denver yesterday & we decided to meet up in Santa Fe in September. We’re going here:

It is about the same distance from Denver to Santa Fe so we’ll meet up & drive around in OTIS2 to see the sights. Suzan & Bette promise to send me ideas of where to go. Looking forward to that!
The other day I signed up to find out about Solar Panels for my roof. In typical A.A. behavior I got all wrapped up in it. I see that many of my neighbors have solar on their roofs here & it is so sunny out here I figured it would be a good idea. After going through the whole presentation on the phone & computer through ZOOM, the cost would be $14K! Ouch! But their pitch is a strong argument about free installation & selling back power to the electric company in the future that it will eventually pay me & for itself as time goes on. Problem is, that will probably happen in 20 or 30 years! I spoke to Art Bale about his solar after getting my quote. I don’t know why I even got involved-I never thought about solar when I was in Florida so why would I want it here? Anyway, Art convinced me not to do it even though he put it on his houses. He said the one benefit he has derived from it, is that his wife doesn’t bitch at him about turning off lights to “save electricity”! Plus I don’t even know what my bill will be each month. I’ve only had 1 bill & that included a one time charge of $50. So I’m over that. I bet my electricity bill will be less here than in Florida.
Trying something. Suzan posted this on Instagram so I thought I would try to see if I could add it to this post.

I now see that this link doesn’t work the way I want it to. Sorry, but copy and paste it to your browser and you’ll see the alligator swimming.
I guess you’ll need to click the link to see it. I wonder if I can put it on YouTube? Think I’ll try that. Couldn’t figure out how to do that so I put this video on instead:
So that’s about it for now. I may add more to this later. You’ll just need to check back. See you later! Thanks for visiting!
