Ms. Days Ease RV Life #166 7/29/20

Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors!  Day 119 for me.  Unbelievable!  What a world we are living in.  I think it is pretty interesting though.  I was talking to Suzan yesterday and we were discussing how amazing our lives have been.  Imagine living through 9/11 almost 20 years ago and now living through a PANDEMIC!  Who would have thought!  I guess we can count our blessings!

Yesterday we were talking about perseverance and right now I can say I’ve persevered with Meditation:

I started meditating 41 days ago.  559 total minutes!  Amazing!  I love this little app!  Dan Harris has really helped me with this.  I sit out on my porch in the morning and I meditate.  Sometimes, Metaxa sits in my lap while I do that which adds an additional layer of happiness to this practice.  Thank you for this great way of life!

The other day I was going to the store – groceries – that is about all I do these days as far as going out – and this was happening:

I have never seen a cloud bank in the mountains like that.  Here is another view:

It is fun living where I see mountains all around me.  I think I do miss the beach in Naples, although the number of times I went to the beach over the years was pretty dismal.  I would try to go there to meditate, but now that I’m doing it here – I realized that I wasn’t really accomplishing it there.

So last week I celebrated 18 years of Sobriety.  YAY!  I got this great card from Polly!  What a sweet thing to do!  It’s in a place of honor on my fridge!

Very sweet!

So my newest project (beside the chair – more on that later), I am having an electrician come by the house tomorrow and install a 30 Amp plug so I can plug Daisy in before I go on my trip next week.  This morning I moved Daisy up to my lot from Bill’s.  So this is how she looks now:

When I moved in and brought Daisy here, I noticed that the side yard sloped down.  I thought we could just bring in some more rocks to level the side yard, but it needs to slope for drainage.  So I asked about putting in a retaining wall to level her off so I can plug her in before I go camping.  Well, this morning I used the leveling blocks and she is now level enough to plug her in and chill down the fridge before I leave.  SO BEAUTIFUL – just saved myself $2000!  Now I don’t feel so bad about the $850 I’m paying to get the electric installed.  It’s too bad that Dennis is too busy to do some of the stuff I want to have done, so I went outside to get a different electrician to come in and now he’ll get that exorbitant fee!  The name of his business is A & L Electric and I found him on “Home Advisor”.  His name is Aaron and I asked him about the name and he said originally it was for he and his wife, but he is now divorced so instead of rebranding himself, he is calling it Apples and Lemon Electric!  Cute!  Here is another view of Daisy in her home:

Now OTIS2 will be nice and cool in the afternoons!  LIFE IS GREAT!

My cousin Dick is selling his place in Naples.  So now all of our ties to Naples will be severed.  Here is a picture of his place:

Their place is amazingly beautiful.  They are selling it furnished!  The touches that they did in this house were super.  Whoever buys this place will be very happy!  They are staying in Connecticut.  I’ll have to plan a New England trip one of these days so I can go visit him and Luann in my RV.  That would really be a huge trip.  I think I would take a northern route.  I think that Route 20 is the way to go and I’ll stay on the long highway or perhaps a trip all the way on Route 66.  That’s another possibility.

This was my view this morning during meditation:

Metaxa loves that little doormat in the sun!  Notice the new plant:

Gonna try not to kill this one.  I over watered the Bonsai.  Let’s hope this one survives.  Time will tell!

So back to the chair project:

Since Dennis is “so busy” here I went to ACE Hardware to ask about doing  this project.  I talked to a guy named Johnathan and asked if ACE did anything like that or if he knew of any Handiman that could do it.  He said ACE wouldn’t do it and they can’t “solicit” side jobs, but he gave me the name of a guy.  So I sent some pictures to Josh and I think it might happen.  I haven’t heard back from him, but I think I’ll call him right now to see if he is willing to look at the project.  Mailbox is full!  I’ll try him again until I get hold of him.  Josh picked up the chair today and it’s getting worked on – YAHOO!

I guess that’s about it for now.  Thanks for visiting and remember…….Be Calm, Be True, Be Quiet!

Good luck with that chair project. Looks like you just need a platform to screw the chair base on to and then affix wheels to the platform. Walls! rolling chair!
