Ms. Days Ease RV Life #177 9/2/20

Happy September COVID-19 Warriors! Day #154 for me in this Pandemic. It’s Tuesday, September 2nd and Bette’s 75th Birthday! Happy Birthday Bette! I’ll see you later on ZOOM!

The other day (a few months ago) I was walking down to the trash-my daily routine to get “walking” and recently “biking” – and I noticed a pile of cacti sitting by the side of the road. So I decided to pick up a few pieces of it and plant it in the planter I have hiding my AC unit. So this is what has happened to those little “freebies”!

OK-I can’t figure out how to add pictures here. Let me keep trying – I updated WordPress so now I have to learn again how to do things!

So here is another one:

Next one:

Anyway, you get the point.  They are all sprouting new growth!  It’s amazing!  Hope they get really big – we’ll see – time will tell!  Anyway, the blog is working right now and I can put pictures in.  Now I’m going to try to insert a YouTube video:

This is how my coloring is being displayed:

Yay-YouTube works fine now too!

So I’m doing something POLITICAL!  OH NO!  Anyway, I went to a training the other day to send “postcards” out to voters to remind them to vote by mail.  I was going to try to work a “phone bank” but decided I didn’t want my phone used for that purpose so I thought I’d do something else.  This is what I’ve done:

I bought 100 “Your Vote Counts” postcards from Amazon and they came in yesterday.  From the ZOOM meeting I connected with a woman who provided 30 addresses in Florida of Democrats to send postcards to.  It’s to remind them to vote by mail if they choose to do that.  I’ve done 15 cards and will do 15 more today and then I’ll get more addresses from that woman – I have her email to request names and addresses.  I have to go to the Post Office here in Benson to buy $.35 stamps for them.  The purpose is for people to think that we’ve done them by hand – which I have – to remind them to get their absentee voting set up.  If they go to VOTE.ORG they can follow the steps.  Who knows if they ever do it, but it’s worth a shot.  And I feel that I’m doing something to “get out the vote”!

SO I thought this was cute today:

Metaxa enjoying the camp chair on the porch in the sun!  LOVE HER!!!!!!!

I have bought this:

It is a Tovala Oven.  It steams, bakes, broils, toasts and scans.  There are meals to buy with it and all you need to do is scan them and it cooks them for you.  I have ordered 4 meals to see how they are.  I believe they cost $40 for 4 so that is $10 a piece – a little expensive, but we’ll see how it goes – if they are good, then I wouldn’t need to buy so many “frozen bowls”.  They will be delivered next week.  You get to choose the type of meals you want.  I’m not sure how this will work out, but I thought I’d try it.  I’m trying to decide whether I like this oven on my “island”.  It needs 6 inches above it and the cabinets would not allow for that so this is where it will live until I decide to keep it in the pantry until I need to use it.  I think I’ll get to use it often.  I remember I always loved my “toaster oven” in the Old Days.  Time will tell.  I’ll let you know whether I like it or not.  It does come with an “app” that connects to WiFi to cook my meals.  More will be revealed.

One more cactus picture:

I guess that is about all for today.  Thanks for visiting!  Be Calm, Be True, Be Quiet!
