Good Morning COVID-19 Warriors. Day # 304 for me. Wow – it’s over 300 days! Unbelievable. I did get tested by a nose swab before my last cataract surgery and I was negative so I’ve avoided it so far. But now we need to count the days since the first COUP in our lifetimes. Look at this: Day #3 today.
On Wednesday, January 6, a mob gathered at the Capital in DC after being instigated by President Trump and they stormed and breached the Capital. They over ran the Capital Police and broke in to the Capital while lawmakers were in the process of counting the Electoral votes making Joe Biden the next president. It was an unruly mob of Trump supporters, QAnon groups and other white militia. Trump spoke to the group at their rally and told them to march to the Capital. Just look at the number of people! UNBELIEVABLE. I think I saw my ex-sister in law Eve post a picture of her son Ben at the rally. I know she is a Trump supporter. I wonder if my ex-husband is. Anyway, these are really stunning pictures that show what a divide we have in this country! This is one time when I’m happy I’m 70 and won’t need to live through many more years of this unrest.

I bet there are those there, that regret their decision to be part of that mob. But they are already arresting the mob members. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out! My cousin Dick sent me these headlines – he reads the NY Times Daily!
SO they wanted to invoke the 24th Amendment that could remove him from office, but that didn’t fly. Pence would not co-operate. So now they want to impeach him for a second time!!!!!!!
Only 12 more days in office. I doubt there would be time to do anything like that. It would be good if he would just resign like Nixon, but that won’t happen. It’s a pretty scary time in America. I keep watching it like it’s 911 all over again. Everyday it’s something. What a terrible way to end your legacy. I’ll be interested to watch what happens after he becomes a “citizen” again. I bet he’ll be in jail. But who knows. As everyone is saying: It’s Unprecedented!
So enough of that – more about me. I’m going to go look at this today:
We will see how it drives. It’s a Chevy and not a Ford. But if they will take OTIS2 in trade and rework my loan payment, it should do all that I want it to do. Then I can seriously market Daisy. But more will be revealed as the day progresses.

I can’t tell you how happy I am! It would only be a better thing if it was a FORD F150 or 250, but they weren’t available so it’s a CHEVY Silverado 1500. Bill discovered that the previous owner had attached a big BOOM Box to the inside and he discovered the wiring. So it was probably used over the border in Mexico – he told me to check for drugs in it. Good thing the Border Patrol was closed today on my way back from Sierra Vista. Anyway, my salesman, Mark Hathaway, is a “former meth addict” turned car salesman. I got bits and pieces of his story. Anyway, the deal was pretty good – I’m paying more each month than I want to, but eventually I’ll be paying it off. Not for a while. I want the paperwork to settle. I’ll have ARIZONA plates on it. So the guy who was the “finance guy” – Isaiah Ramirez said he might be interested in Daisy. He’s coming by on Sunday after church to take a look. He has 3 kids. Not sure it’s the right coach for him. He drives from Sierra Vista to Phoenix to go to CHURCH! That’s 3 hours each way. Unreal. Anyway, we’ll see. So I’ve got a lot to learn about the truck. Lots of bells and whistles. Bill got my phone to synch. He’s OK with the truck. Time will tell. I had him take up the rug under the carport to check for any leaks. I go back on Monday to get the second key made. It only came with 1 key. I want them to check the wiring under the back seat. There are a few paint chips, but overall it is shiny and newish. It will REALLY be my last car. Of course I said that about the Kia Soul and I’ve had 2 other cars since then. But I think this is it. I love the feel of being in the vehicle – much more so than the Jeep Wrangler. Even though I put brand new tires on it and a brand new battery. That didn’t make any difference. I suppose if I had considered a new truck sooner I would have saved about $1000. But then they gave me about $1000 more for my car than they said originally – it’s all smoke, but it is what it is. AND it’s only money!
I think I discovered what the little on/off switch is on the dash that Bill pointed out. It releases the parking brake. I’m going to go test that today – maybe- I may wait until I go to the dealer on Monday.
OK – pulled the trigger on selling Daisy. Put it on Leapin’ Lions Forum and also on FB Marketplace. Now the fun begins! Wish us luck!
